Survivor 2nd Chances 2: Final 12 - Final 8

First off...
Congrats, Chris, Danni, Earl, Ethan, JT, Natalie, Parvati, Rob, Tina, Todd, Toma and Yul!
You are the Final 12 and have all acheived the Jury Stage!

But how far they make it is all up to you. Please check in on my latest post to see how you can influence the outcomes of everything from rewards, immunities and tribal councils to twists and math and more math.

Now, before I go any further, I present ... The 1st 8 boots PTTE Perk

9 players entered the ring with EPMB.
And so far, a couple of noteworthy things have happened.
1. michel is the only player to have all 8 of the boots. 3 of which were correct.
2. Corvis comes close with 7 of 8 boots. (But only 2 that placed correctly.)
3. EPMB, D'Abby and suzzee all have 3 correctly placed survivors as well. But EPMB has 6 of 8 boots, where D'Abby has 5 of 8 boots and suzzee only has 4 of 8 boots.
4. However...
with a total of 6 of 8 bootees and an astounding 5 of them correctly placed, CTgirl has won the PTTE Perk with a score of 8.

This perk gives CTgirl serious powers over how the next few events turn out. However, it will be up to her to decide what of the perk she wants to reveal.

What I can tell you is that one of the Final 12 will be joining the jury before we even get to the next challenge.

UPDATE:

CT has spoken and Natalie has become our 1st Juror.
(and as far as PTTE is concerned, NO ONE got this boot correct.)

She also has a hand in how the castaways will begin the next Immunity Challenge. This to be played out below.

There were quite a few decisions our dearest 1st 8 boots PTTE winner had to make and here is what has happened as a result...

First off...
Natalie must bring me her torch.

The PTTE perk winner has spoken.

Sorry, Natalie but you will now go to the Ponderosa and await your chance to decide the outcome from the jury box.

Secondly, the new Immunity challenge is about to start and aside from Yul and Danni starting with their normal advantage, Ms. CT has kindly offered Parvati an advantage as well AND has given Tom a starting penalty.

The F11 Immunity challenge will hopefully begin soon.
Still knocking out a few last minute glitches and will soon have to go to work. I'm working on it though.

When we last left the survivors they were split 6/6 back at camp and on Inawhile Isle.

The Inawhile Crocodile assures those of them on Inawhile Isle that their stay will be short.

Meanwhile, the clouds above roil and split apart revealing a large hand reaching down from the heavens.

The big hand grabs Natalie and pulls her screaming back into the sky. The castaways all stand maws agape.

The hand reaches down again and grabs Parvati. Her top falling off and floating down to the ground.

Then again, the hand appears, this time grabbing Tom. Pulling him into the cloud as well. I believe he was swearing as all I could hear was eerie silence.

Ethan, Todd and Rob quickly look at each other then huddle together for protection.

Just then a scroll falls from the cloud and lands off in the distance. Not quite sure if anyone noticed it.

A couple of hours later, still huddled together, the three guys are met by production asking them why they aren't walking to the challenge. The three of them too freaked-out to respond.
Production carries the 3 guys to the jeep and drives them to the challenge site.
Waiting for them is the other 6 castaways from Camp Togari.
PLUS Parvati and Tom.

Ethan: Whew, that was weird. First Natalie then Parvati then Tom, I thought we were all goners.

JP: Well, if you haven't noticed, Natalie is no longer with us. She has joined the jury.
You will also notice that most of you are currently standing in the MIDDLE.
Due to past events; Danni, Yul and Parvati start out HIGHER. While Tom will start out LOWER.

The objective for the survivors will be to achieve Immunity with the HIGHEST. You will help them get there.
BUT You will also be there to prevent them from going there and instead going to Tribal Council.


For the next few days, I will be asking a question a day.
Answer this question correctly and you will get to move 1 survivor 1 space, either backwards or forwards.

Each day (roughly 24 hours later) I will reveal the answers, who can make the moves and a new question will be posted. This challenge will end when either 5 castaways have won Immunity or 6 castaways are going to TC.

Once a survivor has achieved Immunity they cannot have it taken away. They will simply finish the challenge and the remaining castaways will continue on in their quests.
Conversely, once a survivor has reached Tribal Council they cannot be taken out of the LOWEST. Again, the remaining castaways will continue on in their own quests.

Actually, this is a sanctioned proxy player entry.
D'Abby is currently on location at a family reunion and is due back later this evening. I ok'd CT's temporary usership, because I know that D'Abby is a constant player. and will only be "missing" for a couple of days.

And so far (were it not for my own mistake) CT's choices for D'Abby would NOT have been winners. I don't know if that was on purpose or not.

Okay...

I had the actual math problem figured out and it was a coded arithmetic problem where each of the letters stood in for numbers and when I had originally created the question, my solution was Shani. HOWEVER, I can no longer find my original solution, nor can I recreate my original algorithm.

The nerd in me (and out of me) tried solving this puzzle like Tribe said and came up with Shane:

19723 + 67508 = 87231 (Shane)

BUT... It turns out he was right and ALL of us could have won this:

Danni: 34608 + 16279 = 50887

Phuket is actually a proposed future LoserLodge location. Yes, you heard right. The original producers of LL are in discussions for a future season of LL. Locations and logistics are being bandied about but sources say not to be too expectant. "We're still in the development stage." stated Coco the monkey. "There are quite a few obstacles still to be dealt with between now and actual production. Not to mention contracts haven't even been drafted and our favorite LL host is also currently so busy with other projects. I'm hoping for a miracle but with all the money I have I can start creating my own miracles."

while it is kinda dragging along (and a stop-gap effort has been taken) the end will happen when 5 people win immunity or 6 people go to tribal. At his moment, we are much closer to resolution thanks to your Chris move. 2 left for Immunity.

Without repeating each others final answers...
please choose 3 current castaways and using the letters in their names build a word of at least 8 letters in length.

Maybe in the ROC but here in Quebec it's just another day for most of us. A day off but just another day still. I guess that bringing over the royal newlyweds will get some excited but I look at it as unnecessary expenses.

"The. MOST. Difficult. challenge. EVER. Period.

For this part of the challenge, NO ONE will win an immunity. Advantages be damned. Strength, endurance, strategy and alliances be damned as well. This is all about luck. And staying safe. But mostly about luck.

Because the gods are getting restless and are claiming that 2 castaways shall be sacrificed... Into the Big Volcano.

Well, there are 8 "safe" spots leading up to the rim of the volcano. Meaning, there will only be room for 8 people to be safe. I guess 2 people must be sacrificed.

Tina: Wha? Geez... 1st the guys turn against the girls with only Danni and I left I now feel as if we'll be the two sacrifices.

I will need 8 posters for this...sacrifice.
Poster #1 and Poster #2, will get to pick 2 castaways and choose the numbers and letters for both.

The last poster will be stuck with JT and the letter I. BUT they still have to pick a number between 1 and 5.

Here are the results of the Survivors, their numbers and the value of their letters.
Calling an end to the decision of which 2 castaways will be sacrificed.
The two castaways with the lowest scores will be thrown into the volcano!

Before I get to the reveal... JT was the last to be chosen (and he actually wasn't chosen) BUT the value of his letter was known (I = 5) and that added to any number between 1 and 5 would have allowed for his placement to be known. Between 6 and 10.

Here are the full results...
Danni: 5 + J (10) = 15
Todd: 4 + N (9) = 13
Ethan: 3 + E (8) = 11
Yul: 5 + S (6) = 11
Earl: 3 + V (7) = 10
JT: 1-5 + I (5) = 6-10
Chris: 2 + H (3) = 5
Rob: 1 + F (4) = 5
Tina: 2 + O (1) = 3
Tom: 1 + T (2) = 3

This means we must say goodbye to Tina and Tom!

(and even though they would technically be dead, they will still have to take placement on the Jury panel. Survivor rules.)

That's what I did also but then Tribe put the volcano under the feet of two I thought were very well liked. It feels like Burnett himself is in charge here...

EPMB is certainly the only one to have benefited from the Sacrifices. (Not planned. At least on my part.) However, because I love doing the figuring out. I did another version with the two TOP scorers as the sacrifices. So if it was Danni/Todd instead of Tina/Tom as sacrificies, there would definitely be a different PTTE beneficiary.

Spot would have gotten his first 0 score with Danni's sacrifice AND michel would be in the lead, Jury Boots and Overall.

As it stands, EPMB is in the lead with Jury Boots, with Belle, Corvis and D'Abby close behind and Overall the Top5 are EPMB, CTgirl, michel, belle and Corvis.

But really, even that is amazing to me. The PTTEs have fluctuated. I was only surprised in the beginning when people weren't voting the way their PTTEs would suggest they should. From then on it's been predictable only in it's unpredictability. I'm NOT surprised CTgirl is no longer in the lead. I personally am stunned EPMB is as back-on-his-feet as he currently is.
