Were down to our Final 8 castaways.
Feel free to jump on in and possibly get a chance to give your favorite survivor a 2nd chance.

The results are all up to you so just look for my most recent post and jump on in.

With Terry, Ian, Becky and Kelly on the jury and Rafe and Neleh on Inawhile Isle, it's time to get on with the next challenge.
This is for Immunity. Win this and the 2nd chancer will have a 1 in 7 shot of winning the title of Sole 2nd Chance Survivor. (and perhaps a legend or two as well.)

The Olympian
Each of you will "nominate" 3 particiating castaways to be Heroes.
All VALID nominations must be made publicly as a reply to this message AND MUST have the name of a GREEK GOD as the subject.
I will return in 24 hours and tabulate the nominations and declare the participants in the 2nd phase of the challenge.

Yeah! Imagine that: You're a God and no one finds you awesome... What does a God have to do? Although your God sounds a lot like the butler to the other Gods: Fixing travel schedules, picking up the phone, buying their stuff, serving as interpret in foreign land, writing their RSVPs, knowing how to politely turn down Zeus' party invitation because they're invited to Dy's place, training them to be in shape for when Michelangelo shows up and taking care of their pets.

It's a showdown of Olympic proportions!
The Father of all Gods VS the King of all Gods VS The Goddess of Justice VS the Goddess of Retribution.
And through all this the Heroes must complete a request in order to advance to the next Phase in this short epic.
All may complete their quests but only 2 heroes can win this Phase.
Generally faster is better, but the right way of doing things is paramount as well.

This will be difficult. But it will be fun too.
To start this off on the left foot...

Your job will be to complete the tasks on part of your chosen hero.

Hero Quest Glossary:
Collect: Post a picture of the object of the quest.
Solve: Find the longest word with the letters provided for the quest.
Steal: Repost a quest-centric signature picture (siggie) from another thread.

Simply claim which "hero" you are working on behalf of and then post your Collect/Solve/Steal.
Anyone may post on behalf of any of the participating survivors and if given the time and druthers could possibly have their favorite 2 make it to the next round.
All is fair in this challenge.
I will of course act as ultimate decider of, and the challenge will actually only end when I get back to it, so don't count anyone out necessarily.

Not sure if we are supposed to do multiple things for each hero or not, so just to be safe:

Working to see if I can find a different combo of letters than Dabs. ETA: How about Pees Zen Tush? No? The longest word I can come up with is steepens but that does not use all the letters, or perhaps enthuses pez (if one is a real connoisseur of candy ).

The Heroic Battle of the century!
It comes down to the favored demi-god of Zeus and the beloved demi-god of Uranus.
Shanimus VS Stephanus!

They face off against each other in the stadia.
Each has been given a short sword and a shield.
Each has also been given 4 health points.
Your job is make an offensive move for one of the heroes.
For instance; Shanimus strikes Stephanus.
In this case Stephanus would be hit with a -1 health point.

The first hero to reach 0 health points is out of the game.
The remaining hero is our Immunity Winner.


Shanimus: 4

* In essence, take 1 point from one of the two survivors above.
* One post per player, please. I will not be accepting multiple entries from one player for this challenge.

The castaways arrived back at Hippocampus and waiting for them there were Rafe and Neleh, back from Inawhile Isle.
They noticed that Matthew had been voted out.

But before asking questions as to what's been happening the last couple of days, the two of them state that they have treemail.


The Top 3 could earn you Immunity
The Middle 3 promises nothing good
But The Group of 5 is a second chance to come back Inawhile.
This Treemail does not Rhyme.

I will need 6 posters for this challenge.

try to get some yard work done and look what happens...

So at In-da-yard Island I dug up weeds (they look and smell like onions and garlic). Found some enormous worms, yumm-o. Raked up a mountain of doggie doo, dang poop machines. Shoveled dirt back into the holes the big dog dug (he smells moles and digs trenches accordingly). So, where were you guys? Could have helped me but no here you are all posting and stuff. I still can't get the dirt out of my nails. That will teach me, oh yes, that will teach me.

I refer you to the doggie logs.I found so many, which one is the Immunity Log? They all look home made to me some of them had a face carved in them.

I filled up a 33 gal. garbage can with doggie logs. Any more questions? PM me your address I'll ship some to ya so you can identify the REAL idol.

Stephen returns from Inawhile and in enter the remaining castaways, minus Cindy who was voted out at TC and joins the Jury.

Just in time for the next challenge cycle.

This week it is an olde phashioned Coconut Chop.

Each Castaway has in front of them 3 coconuts.

Each day I will pose a question. Your task will be to answer a question correctly and if you do you can give a castaway's nuts an olde phasioned Coconut Chop!

Once a 2nd Chance castaway has 3 chopped nuts they are out of the challenge.

The end of the challenge will occur when only 1 survivor remains with a nut (or two) left un-chopped. That survivor will win immunity and a guaranteed spot in the Final 5.

So many got it correct that this will become a coconut chop race of sorts.
See, there won't be enough coconuts left after this round of double chopping for everyone who won to chop twice.
So I open it up to first to come, first to chop, twice.

Time for the remaining 5 to participate in the next Challenge.

By the way, at the conclusion of this challenge, I have a note to read with an added twist.

Using these three denominations (+5), (-6) and (+8) add or subtract from the survivors.
The 1st and 2nd to get to 50 will go on reward.
The 3rd and 4th to get to 50 will go back to camp.
The remaining survivor will go to Inawhile Island. It is here they will stay through the coming TC. Miraculously making it to F4.

You may post multiple times in this challenge, just make sure that 3 messages fall between your last one and your current one.
Once we're down to 2 survivors use just the positive denominations (+5) (+8) to finish.

Here's why I think we should vote for Shane:

The guy was very entertaining. There was never one boring episode when the guy that had decided to quit smoking cold turkey just before the season started. The proof are his multiple entries in the Funny 115 list:

#104: Shane's pooch

#94: Reacting to Danielle

#91: Medevac

#83: His blindside

#72: A little problem

With the countdown only at #44, we can expect some more funny entries like the time Casaya visited a village in Panama and Shane finally got a cigarette, when he had his rants against Bruce, Courtney and Danielle or when he mocked Jeff during challenges.

He was so funny that we coined a new term: He was inshane! Never had someone been so obviously schizo on the show: Shane was Casaya's policeman, making sure each one stayed true, he was their bully, pushing Terry's offers aside, he was a traitor, finally agreeing to a plan with Terry, he was a devoted father, a neurotic child and, with Courtney, he looked like he was part of an old married couple that always argued.

Even with all that, Shane was a pretty good player, making a solid alliance right from the start and, even if it was an alliance of nutballs, he kept them together until Final 6. Only Cirie's brilliant move to go hunting for goats prevented Shane from making it to the end.

If you are planning to vote for Peih Gee, consider that she did the least honorable thing you can do on Survivor: She threw a challenge. Worse, she couldn't even do it with a straight face and was promptly outed by Jeff. After that, despite showing James she was ready to vote him out, she continually tried to get him on her side until James told her he'd never trust her. Then, PG had the audacity to doubt James' challenge abilities. That was the final straw, making Peih Gee the butt of this joke.

As for Stephen, the guy was a good strategist but he wasn't a good Survivor. If you remember, Sydney proved that she was better at making fire and building shelter. Stephen was so intimidated that he called her a wood goddess and had to vote her out. He also considered voting out Taj before the merge just to keep her idol. In the end, he did betray her to go with Erinn and he would have eliminated JT also. He just wasn't good enough to win immunity. Losing a vote 7-0 showed his game wasn't that good.

The case against Shane is a no-brainer. Yeah, the guy's not boring, but he's also a total nutcase. Who wants to give a total nutcase the win?

Stephen is a very good candidate as he's an fine strategist, unfortunately he kept his scheming too secret and failed to convince the jury last time that he was as much a part of the scheming he and J.T. did as J.T. himself was. Thus, I don't think he'll be able to successfully convince the jury to award him the million dollars. What's more, he spent quite a bit of time on Inawhile Island and may not have done as much socializing as he could have.

Peih-Gee, on the other hand, did do more socializing. Yeah, she openly threw an Immunity Challenge in China but I think she learned her lesson. Besides, she won a crucial Immunity Challenge in China. And that's why I think Peih-Gee should win the whole thing.

I totally agree with you concerning Shane! However, I should point out that although Stephen was a great strategist, all the strategy in the world is no good if you keep it so well hidden that nobody knows it -- or if you aren't able to convince the jury that you were more strategic than they thought.

We began with 52 people and through a series of challenges and tribal councils whittled our way down to the Final 3 in our search for the most deserving of the title of Survivor 2nd Chance Champion.
