Overacting? Talk about on the verge of just being ridiculous!

I really don't watch soaps, but happened to be home at the time - not sure why... I think it was "Passions"??? A group of characters were walking on something unstable, and it broke causing two characters to fall into whatever it was. Honestly, they were falling for almost a good 30 seconds. Now, 30 seconds is a long time. NO ONE can survive a fall that long! I think one had died, but the other one was still alive. In fact, he got up! WTH???

Are you on the list?

Passions is supposed to be over the top wacky ridiculous. They have a 300 year old witch as a major character, who has a 2 year old daughter (also a witch) named Endora -- that says it all.

I used to be a regular viewer of "Passions". Less so now. It seems to have lost its way. But at least they dropped the Beth Wallace character. Her trout pout lips were so distracting!

Daytime soaps is a breeding ground for many of our finest actors and actresses today. Oscar Winners such as Tommy Lee Jones, Morgan Freeman and Marisa Tomei have been on soaps. Lets not forget actors such as Ray Liotta, Kevin Bacon, Parker Posey, Meg Ryan, Julianne Moore and Lindsey Lohan have started on soaps. Thats not even including the Broadway stars that have graced both Broadway and soaps, at the same time. Half of the daytime stars are household names with record deals, caberat acts, and cosmetic deals.

Ever hear of Susan Lucci? Think she's a bad actress? How about Anthony Geary? He can't even live in the United States because he is so beloved. 30 million people watched his character Luke, marry Laura in the best wedding ever on television. It was on the cover of Newsweek for God's sake. How about Sarah Joy Brown? Bethany Joie Lenz? Jonathan Jackson? Eva LaRue? Matthew Bomer? Brittany Snow? I could go on and on. Two of them are regulars are CSI and One Tree Hill. The other two are in movies, both independent and major motion pictures and get critical acclaim.

Ever watch a soap? Have you seen the stories that are on there? Granted some are out there (AMC's unabortion) but they take risks that prime time doesn't. When was the last time a transgender was a major character on a prime time show? Soaps are about so many things so I suggest you watch some, invest some time in them and then pass judgement. Learn how to spell too and that dear, is the truth.

Sorry Bebo, but you know how passionate I am about my soaps.

Obviously you have not watched a good soap. They have the best storylines and the best acting. Try watching Young and Restless
and come back here in a month.
