I am so sad, he was so good. He won an Emmy a few years ago. Rest in Peace, thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Damn. I was a huge fan of his. I'm so glad that they aren't thinking of recasting at this point, and I hope TPTB don't change their minds.
No cause of death yet, but rumors are everywhere that it may and I stress may, have been suicide. He did take a year off for personal reasons including depression. I do hope that in a while, and I mean years, they kill Hall off off-screen like they did with Michael Zaslow's Roger. They waited 6 years to do that.BH deserves the best. Rest in peace.

People.com and numerous other places are stating it was a suicide, gunshot wound to the head. The police and his fellow cast members are saying that it was indeed a suicide

I just want to say I am deeply saddened by Bens death.
I will very much miss the old Hal I am so used to seeing everyday.
The cast must be shocked.
I know he was depressed after the death of his mother, but
I never imagined he was suicidal.
