John is Edward! This should not be happening!
I just read on Gedsterns site and I can't link it sorry, that John Ingle (Edward on GH) will be taking over the role of Mickey. Now, John was fired but then brought back as recurring. The role of Mickey (on DOOL)is being expanded and John will have a lot more work. It is a RUMOR, but this site is hardly ever wrong. The guy playing Mickey right now is temporary.John is Edward! This should not be happening!
Well, as you know, Tishy, the temporary guy sucks as Mickey. Actually, I think anyone would suck as Mickey, except for, Mickey. Having said that, it should be interesting! I can't imagine Edward as Mickey, and Edward with Adrienne, uh, I mean Bonnie, sounds just SICK!I wonder who they'll get to play Edward. I always thought the guy who played Edward before this Edward, was the real Edward, but I believe he died. Hmmm, maybe they'll go with a younger Edward now that they've dumped Lila. The whole thing stinks. The Q's have been pretty much ruined, and they aren't used nearly as much as I'd like.

They dumped LILA>?!?!?!? Holy crud.I've watched GH since I was 7. I gave up on it and OTLT last year. I got sick of changing writers, changing casts. Not that some change is good. It was the WAY they do it, and how often and how they can't just let some of them STAY dead. A few years back OTLT had Kevin leaving for an extended trip in a wheelchair. The next Monday (with new writers), a NEW Kevin shows up, completely healed. It just went downhill from there.
I caught GH the other day, and Al was back on. I thought he died. Was it just a 4-month long dream???See, I give up.
Where's ROger Howarth on? I heard he's on another soap.
I will watch anything with him.
I'm just glad the role is going to be put in capable hands. John Clarke was wonderful for 38 years, and it's a shame that his health has forced him to say goodbye. Nice for DOOL to recognize that they can't just give that role to anyone.AF, Roger Howarth has taken over the role of Paul Ryan on As The World Turns. I am so thrilled that show has finally figured out what direction to take that character, and he's doing a fabulous job with it. He's playing a totally screwed up guy - Dad's in prison for being the big baddie, Mom's just a major nutjob, and his little brother Will just accidentally killed Paul's fiance Rose because Will didn't want his brother to marry her and move to Paris.

As for GH, does anyone know WHY they fired Edward?
I was totally shocked when I heard that they were replacing Mickey - the actor who played him was wonderful. Hopefully, his health will get better. However, I do agree with Bebo in that I think that John will be a wonderful replacement for the character of Mickey. It was horrible of GH to fire him like that. (That would be like Days firing the actress who plays Alice...what am I saying? The way things are going she could be next on Marlena's list.)

TVGuide online has confirnmed that John Ingle is the new Mickey. No first air date yet.I have also seen at many sites that the show has no intention to let go of Alice. I think she has a lifetime contract.
There are rumors, though, that Frances Reid (Alice) has agreed to be let out of that contract, and that Alice will be Marlena's final victim.
