"T with the Lady and Mandy"
Posted by LadyT on 10-28-01 at 08:30 PM
Lady T and Mandy are seated in an English conservatory, sipping their Earl Grey Tea with their pinkys outstreched. On the side table are scones. They are dressed in pastel suits, legs crossed at the ankles.

Mandy, this is so not us. Want to go to a bar? I will even spring for your beer.

Do I want to go to a bar eyes (bugging out like Toni's from Love Cruise) Ummmmm, is the Pope Catholic? Does a Monkey have a tail? Do pigs fly?---oops wrong rhetorical question. I think I will have something different tonight and have a.....Coors Light perhaps.

Much better Mandy. I feel so much more comfortable. So anyways, how did you find this website?

Being the reality tv geek that I am, I spent my summer living and breathing Big Brother 2 at a site called--amazingly enough--Big Brother Live. Well, after the Thrill of Will was over, (Speak for yourself Mandy, the Thrill of Will is never going to end of this Lady. I'm sorry go on....) I was bemoaning the loss of my favorite pasttime and bleakly looking ahead to the next cheeeeeezey show on the horizon...."The Love Cruise: Maiden Voyage" Some other equally pathetic loser posted a link to a place to discuss this fine new fare and Voila! I entered the new and scary alternative universe of LoveCruiseSinks, which led to chat, which led to OT and Bashers....and I am now officially addicted.

We are all addicted Mandy. Once it gets in your system, there is no escape. Now you don't post much on the boards, but you are becoming quite the chat regular. You are also becoming a little flirt, who do you love to flirt with?

I don't post much because whenever I read something I have written I slap myself on the forehead Homer-style and say "Doh!" There never fails to be a misspelling or punctuation error or just a completely stoooopid post staring me in the face.

Mandy, I do that all the time. It shouldn't stop you, it certainly doesn't stop me

Well, I prefer chat because I like the social intercourse (hehehe), spontaneity, and hilarity that are inherent to that particular forum. I preform much better on the fly. (geeze, I know I am gonna regret saying THAT)

Flirt? ME? Naaahhhh....I just like to grab a bit of Monkey tail and trash talk with ZZ occasionally....and that surveryorieouaiest however the @&*%! you spell his name is fun to wink at. Oh yeah and RudyRules! I feel the need to explain about the RudyRules flirtation because it carried over to the boards. We were in chat one night and I was making stuff up (I dunno why I do it, I just can't resist). Anyway, the whole group called me on it and so in keeping with the Love Cruise game rules, I was given Balls of Shame dare #11 and had to post that RR was this awesome stud. It's all true, of course....he definetly is a stud....but anyhoo, that is where that post came from.

Who made you feel welcome here?

The very first time I checked out chat, I met Buggy and she was very welcoming to me as a newbie and told me to register and post on the boards...so I did. ANd VampKira was sweet enough to let me know about OT because I originally posted the "RudyRules is a stud" post on the LC boards not knowing that OT existed. She was so nice and welcoming to me in her email and went out of her way so that I wouldn't feel like a dumbass for posting something in the wrong spot (Thanks Vampi). Oh and this one night, at band camp, I got in this fight and ZZ had my back. That was cool. Ok it wsn't at band camp, it was in the Bar. Seriously though, EVERYONE has been very welcoming and fun to yak with and I love to read everyones' posts, especially yours LT (shameless brown-nosing....where did that damn tissue go?) Seriously LT, you made me feel very welcome as well by asking me to submit to this torture. (hehehehe)

Yea Whatever. Brown-nosing with me gets you nowhere. Now you have a very interesting marriage story....

Well, my sweetie and I were poor, starving college students, romantics at heart, and wanted to elope....ahhh...sigh...we had to have witnesses, so I asked my cousin (who lived next door) and her boyfriend to come to the courthouse to be our witnesses. SHHHH I told her....its a secret. Yea right. She told her Mom who of course told her husband who of course told his Brother, (My Daddy) who of course told my Mother, and on and on and on. We had like 18 people crowded into this tiny courthouse room. SO much for eloping! LOL But I wouldn't have changed it for anything....all the peeps that I love in one room sharing in the most important event of my life....it doesn't get much better than that.

After we got married, my Aunt had a mini reception at her house and after an hour, my cuz, her boyfriend, hubby, me, my bro and his gf left and we went to our little college bar scene. No one at our "spots" believed us....we had to show our marriage license "reciept" as proof....they all thought we were trying to scam free drinks (Gee like would WE do that?) HMPH! I'm still ticked that people thought we would try to fake something as serious as marriage to try to scam free drinks (ummm, besides that one time the year before....)

Do you have any kids?

Lots of kids....forget how many....somewhere between 3-6 I think (scratches head, pondering deeply for a moment) Seriously I have four and they are the greatest little people I know. I am so very proud of each and every one of them and love them immensely. If I died tomorrow, I would die happy knowing that I
helped create such warm, kind, thoughtful and loving children.

So sweet, I love kids myself. Besides hanging out in the bar, what else do you do?

One of my hobbies is singing and songwriting. My hubby is a professional musician and I sing back up with his band occassionally and write songs, but none that he cares to play just yet. He is a Blues guy and I am a more pop/ballad type. You can hear my Hubby's music at http://artists.mp3s.com/13/kenny_cobb.html (shameless plug). He is really gifted and one hell of a guitar player....please check it out if you get a chance. (another shameless plug...he should pay me for the free advertising! LOL)

Anthing else you want to share with us?

I feel just about as nekkid as it is....whoo hooo (oh wait, I am not in the bar yet am I? Eeek!) Nope not much to say except that I am so glad that I stumbled upon this place (thank you pathetic loser from BigBrotherLive, whoever you are!) You peeps rock and I am so happy to have found a neato frito place to hang out. Thanks!

Oh wait a minute, I have one more question for you. This one is for my Big Sis Buggy. Are you a sock wearing freak or not?

You know it baby....its gotta be socks in bed or I won't sleep a wink!

*freak* Mandy it has been a pleasure sitting with you and getting to know you better. I hope you stay here a while, and post more Girl! See you in the bar.

Now back to your regular scheduled programming

Beatrice, get yee to Heaven, heres no place for you maids...and away to Saint Peter's for the Heavens, he shows me where the bachelors sit, and there live we as merry as the day is long -Much Ado About Nothing
