Since Africa is my favorite season and I've seen each episode at least 30+ times, have to give a little description. Grades are a combo of personal liking and how well I thought they played the game ...SAMBURU TRIBE
1. Carl Bilancione: B- Dang you Carl for not knowing that you use hot water to get a tick out. Was a hard worker and game wise, really did nothing wrong but let the play-schoolers know he had a Porche. Seemed to be the brains behind the old-schoolers alliance. Could have easily made the jury if not for those darn ticks.
2. Teresa Cooper: B Played a solid game and deserved to be the last member standing of the old Shamboohoo tribe. Really liked that fact that she won the first individual immunity challenge. Strong social skills and always played her cards close to the vest.
3. Silas Gaither: C- No doubt physically he was an asset and did "try" to play the game but just didn't like him.
4. Frank Garrison: A- You can also put me down as someone who really liked Frank. Because of the harsh conditions of Africa, the play-schoolers should have been kissing the ground that this man walked on, but alas they did not. Franks wife in the "Back from Africa" episode put it best ... Frank can be the most charming man in one breathe and biggest jerk in the next. I liked that, it's real.
5. Kim Powers: B Cute as a button but really was a non-factor game wise. Still like "Little Bit" though.
6. Brandon Quinton: C Strategically Brandon did seem to be the brains behind the play-schoolers but when it came crunch time, just couldn't get past the idea of siding with someone he couldn't stand. Him and Frank on the movie date is one of the funniest moments ever.
7. Lindsey Richter: F Colonel Zoidberg, if there is a grade lower than an F, please give Lindsey that grade for me. Ahh where to begin for my most hated Survivor ever? How about the fact that I did not see one redeeming quality in her, yeah that's a good start! Was a whinny spoiled brat and probably still is. Within a day or 2 of Lex, Big Tom, and Kelly coming over to Shamboohoo, they knew immediately she was worthless. Good instincts I say.
8. Linda Spencer: F Just plain creepy.
BORAN TRIBE
1. Clarence Black: B I like Clarence. He seemed like a cool fun person that I would like to have a beer with someday. While he did deserve some kind of a talking to over the bean fiasco, they went overboard. Asset in challenges and was seen working hard for the tribe. Deserved a place on the jury but them be the breaks.
2. Tom Buchanan: A- Good ole country boy that I loved to watch. Lamber put it best during All-Star, I love listening to Big Tom even if I don't understand a word he's saying.
3. Jessie Camacho: C Hot as a firecracker on the 4th of July but not a factor in the season. Even with crusty lips, still hot.
4. Kelly Goldsmith: B Liked Kelly and much like Frank, she was a real person out there, which I like. The Kelly vs Lex showdown at TC was the most intesne TC ever in my mind. I was literally on the edge of my couch. Kelly knew when it was time to jump ship and went down fighting. Will agree that the pick a number The Graduate thing was odd.
5. Kim Johnson: C Thought Lex, Big Tom, or even Teresa would have been a more worthy F2 but she made it on her own when it counted, so I give some credit. Did have excellent social skills but was pathetic in challenges, not Scout type bad, but bad.
6. Diane Ogden: D She was okay but did deserve to be the first voted out. Actually I liked her alot from what I saw in the Back from Africa episode.
7. Lex Van der Berghe: A Will agree with others that Lex's star did get tarnished during All-Stars but this grade is based solely on the Africa season. Lex was the man for me during this season. Actually he was my all-time favorite until a certain shaggy bearded man came on my TV screen during S7. Lex was a challenge hound, leader of the alliance, was fantastic socially, and deserved an F2 spot. He was just plain cool in Africa.
8. Ethan Zohn: A My all-time favorite winner (Danni is now a very close second). Sometimes the nice guy does win.
