What inspired you to dance.
Lauren. Mom wanted me to do something girly as I was a tomboy.
Neil. He and his brother were friends with a girl who was taking dance back in preschool.Doing Hip Hop this week. Choreographer Dave Scott. The Way I Are. Timbaland featuringh Keru Hilson and D.O.E. She is in a dress with a white bra part and black see through skirt he is in black shirt and pant with a white tie and shoe. Didn't hit the pops that hard as I would have liked, but I think they had more chemistry this week. Mia: IT was a hell of a lot better than last week. First of all Dave's choreography breathes and moves. Neil you tore this up. Lauren I could have done without you, you aren't bringing it, yet. Mary. Last week you were dancing like a cheerleader, this week there is a chemistry that is starting to happen and it is starting to get on solid ground. She liked the butt smack and the dive. Nigel: I loved it from the pair of them.. I love Dave's choreography, doesn't look like you are going to beat up the whole world. Set the bar for everyone working out of their style.

Jessi, everybody loves to dance, it is fun. Pasha wants his Mom to come see it live. Awwww! They get Jazz this week. Tyce Diorio choreographing something with a contemporary African feel dance, earthy and urban. To Stiff Jazz dZihan and Kamien She is in a brown one shoulder top and a light brown skirt. He is in a brown shirt and crop white pant. Pasha can stalk me anytime. Sigh. Mia. I love birds (she has feathers) You are my favorite birds ever it was quirky and ridiculous and you were amazing. Remember in Vegas I was not having you, Pasha, and I am so proud of you. Mary. I thought it was terrific. The Jessi the way you can isolate your moves and both of you are gorgeous to begin with and you draw us in. Pasha is the master of partnering, you were stalking her (I called that) and you surprised me to no end tonight. Nigel. It goes along with the journey of being on this show. To this idiosyncratic bird like routine. Jessi what formal training have you had, keep dabbling darling. Tyce is absolutely terrific.

Jaimie she owes dance to her sister as she followed in her footsteps.Hok was a teenager before he took up dancing. He was doing Judo and saw some dancing on TV that inspired him. This week they are doing the Samba by Jean Marc Genereus and his wife France. Giggle. Hok is the dog no matter what. Bang Bang to the Rock and Roll by Gabin. She is in a short blue black dress and he is in a blue black top and pant. Mia. I'm usually a nightmare and I think I drank the love juice. You guys tore it up the hips are going. I wanted more hip work but I though you were amazing. Mary. I obviously wasn't drinking out of the same cup. There were some good bits, but that was not high level. Your feet were not turned out when they should have been and were when they shouldn't have been. Nigel. I thought they did a great performance, but I do agree with Mary. We need to pin it down when we are doing a samba like DWTS with a bit more old fashioned samba in it, but you weren't asked to do that and I thought you performed it well even though the technique wasn't there.

I don't know much about dance, but that didn't seem like a Samba to me. Like Nigel said, I kept waiting for them to partner up in the classic hold, but they spent most of the routine apart. Not their fault, obviously. For what they were given, I think they did a good job.

Dominic's never had formal training. Started b-boying to get attention from the ladies, but it didn't work.Sabra started dancing only 4 years ago when watching a friend dance. Doing Contemporary this week. Choreographer is Mandy Moore. A story of men and women and how they relate. Sabra is a bird and Dominic has to throw her across the room so she flies....that could be interesting. He is a creature, and then there is the will he drop her on his wiener move. Yikes. I'll Stand by you by the Pretenders. He is in a black pant white shirt and brown vest, she is some netting that got run through a shredder. Definitely more connection this week. Mia. Can't tell what is on your face. What are you feeling Dom. he is scared. He feels that he wants contemporary and show this side and he is scared. First of all I am really happy that the bad boy act is not you. You are beautiful. I have to say that--and it is going to sound like Nigel--I have to thank him for being persistent about you. You are what this competition is about. I'm a little teary eyed as I lost Ricky to you and you were beautiful tonight. Thank You. Sabra you are like a little Ailey girl that is about to explode. Mary. Absolutely fabulous Mandy Moore. All the partnering work and you were always there for her. Sabra you are a heavenly little creature. There is something unique about you. Dominic you are a force to be reckoned with. Nigel. Sabra sometimes you slip through the net but when you dance you are outstanding. Dominic I am so please to hear what Mia said there and we take this seriously and you take this seriously. You shaved your toes this week. Cat asks if they were that bad. Dom says they were a jungle. He does take this seriously sometimes with breaking there is an arrogance that doesn't allow one to learn anything, and great to see you put yourself out.

Faina owes her dance career to Mom. She wanted to quit at 13 and Mom wouldn't let her.Cedric, childhood frustrations pushed him to hip hop. Started to express his frustrations through movement. They will be dancing the Fox Trot by Hunter Johnson. To You're the Boss by Elvis Presley and Ann Margaret She is in a long pink dress, he is in a dark suit. Mia. I think you got through it. It felt like Ginger Rogers and an insecure Michael Jackson. You are my second favorite Cedric. I wanted you to stylize it more than you did. You need to take it a step up. Faina you were beautiful. It wasn't copesetic enough for me. Mary. Have to agree with Mia, Cedric you are extraordinary, but you were not wonderful in this style, you hands are wrong and stiff. We shouldn't be seeing the hip hop in this but I think you let your partner down. She was amazing. You need to pick it way up. Nigel. Oh yeah he needs to pick it up, and I've always worried how Cedric would be in partners. You were anxious and there was no charisma. You need to invest in your rehearsals.

Like when Cedric was getting pummeled, she just stood there, and didn't seem to offer any comfort. I know they're not the best match-up, but all the others seem to be rooting for each other, or at least pretending to. Maybe it's just me.

It needed to be spicier and sassier, but I thought you did great. You know I love you guys. Mary. I think Tyce said he wanted danger and danger is your middle name. It was a bit naughty in the beginning and then Bam in the back flip and walk through the air. Lacey this number suited you it was Hot Hot Hot. Nigel. I think last week you showed us the anxiety of the routine and this week you showed us the pizazz. You seem like you have been dancing together for years. Next you'll be asking her Dad for her hand.

Anya ballroom was a rite of passage. She started when she was 10. She loved the costumes.Danny got into a lot of trouble and dance got him out of that. That is where he met the lady that took custody of him. They get the Viennese Waltz. Hunter Johnson does the choreography. You and Me by Lifehouse. She is in a flowy salmon pink dress and he is in a white shirt, black pant and black vest. Nice runaround. Mia. You are like the lady of the competition and you are the man of the competition. You bring a professionalism to the stage. Danny it is like your hands are doing a whole other piece on their own and I thought you were stunning together. Mary. Last week you hopped off the hot tamale train and this week you stepped out of a dream you were absolutely beautiful. I know so many couples who struggle with some of those moves for years and you make it look effortless. Hunter and Maria you did an amazing job. Stuff your ears. *MARY SCREAM* Nigel. I think everything that has been said. If you know absolutely nothing about dancing you would say that was beautiful. I think that was the fastest I've seen anyone do that attitude turn.

I really like this couple. I'm not surprised about my attitude about Anya from the tryouts, but I didn't think I'd like Danny at all. He is really quite fluid, and I've liked him in everything he's done so far. Sure, Anya can outdance him easily, but they are still my second-favorite couple (behind Pasha and Whats-her-name)

Jimmy found his passion for dance in middle school. He needed an art credit.Hip Hop this week. Dave Scott choreographed the routine. He is putting some stepping into it. Dancing to: U sexy girl. Fat Man featuring Elephant Man and Jabba They are in red pants and gray tshirts and he has a red hoodie. Mia. I'm going to first say that Jimmy it looks like you are jumping out of your skin. You are completely committing. Shauna I feel like you took a step up this week. There is still a little bit of dancing school syndrome to you. Abandon everything, you are a little too safe. Mary. I think you guys both STEPPED it up this week. We love seeing people growing on this show. Jimmy you stood out a little bit more for me. By the end I did come back to you Shauna. Nigel. I disagree with Mia, I didn't find the dance school bit there, I did last week. I am going to use the F word. That was so much Fun. It was brilliant to watch.

Sara has been dancing since four but recently got into breaking.Jesus loves the ability to be free and show it. This week they get the Paso Doble. Jean-Mark Genereux is the choreographer. We Will Rock You (bonus remix) Queen She is in a black spanishy dance and black panties. He is in a black and white matador costume and at first I thought that lace was his hairy chest. *fans self* Mia. Um hmm it was a little awkward for me. Nigel booes her. I am all about stepping out of the box. The music didn't support the choreography.. Jesus your carriage was fabulous. Sara have you had any formal training, no, well then you were fabulous. Mary. I thought it was a great choreography. It feels a little bit weird to this music. It is a strong song. Sara have you ever been in heels before, no, it's not easy is it. You did an amazing job. Jesus Amazing you and the fire and the passion that we love seeing in the Paso Doble you made us believe it, the way you attack things, wasn't perfect, but a great effort. Nigel. It's the most stylized routine. I prefer to experiment with the music rather than the style. Jesus you were amazing. Sara, you clean up to be a beautiful young lady and you surprise me every week.

They are really playing her up as just a b-girl, but in her intro last week she said that she has also does some jazz and modern stuff, so I'm not surprised that she is doing well in other areas.

I wish I could run into the office after the routines to see what's up here on SYTYCD nights. I do, however, come in afterwards and 'relive' the routines through y'alls feedback.
