At this point, I have no interest in tuning in this season. The only "normal" person in the house is poor Sherman Helmsley. Boy is he in for a ride! Everyone else is into drugs or porn or both. But I'm sure I'll unwittingly catch a preview or happen upon an episode, and I won't be able to turn away. That's how it happens...

He may have been nominated, but we won't know if he's in until late in the first (or early in the second) episode. According to VH1's website, a selection of 'reality hunks' is presented to the D-listers, and they vote on who's actually coming in. Listed as possibilities are:Mister Survivor Mister Big Brother Mister Apprentice Your guess is as good as mine. Beyond that to-be-determined, the cast is: Sherman Hemsley (actor) Steve Harwell (singer) C.C. Deville (guitarist) Tawny Kitaen (former TV show host and model) Alexis Arquette (relative) Andrea Lowell (Playboy TV personality) Not formally part of the cast -- but still in the house is: Florence Henderson, resident therapist (actress) And before anyone asks: no summaries. Not from me, anyway. You wanna summarize this train wreck, go right ahead. I've suffered enough.

Wow, ladies. Let Tawny be a lesson to us all. Living hard takes a toll on one's looks.CC, on the other hand, looks better than I have ever seen. And we who watch VH1 dreck see a LOT of CC DeVille. He's been a glamazoid hazbeen, he's been fat, he's been just burned out and bumbling, but he actually displayed some vitality on this show. I'm surprised Smash Mouth Guy needs to do this shite yet. Surely the royalties from all those Shrek DVDs are still pouring in. I lvoe Alexis. I lvoed Alexis as a freaky guy in weird little horror movies. I would rather hang with Alexis than any of the other women. Boy, the Rubes of Reality made a poor showing in the man comp. Skid "marks"?! That was like some failed medical experiment. And they STILL thought he was cute. They appear to have made the right choice in the personable young wrestler, though, who (in Surreal Life tradition) will prove to be the most erudite of the bunch. Good times.

>>As for Scott he got >voted off because when he >stripped to his underwear he >had huge skid marks and >he looked like a wanker >after that. Skid marks!!!!!????? Skid marks!!!!!!???? I thought the term skid marks referred to when someone didn't wipe all the way leaving traces of number two behind in their unmentionables, not a huge dark stain that looked as though the guy either didn't attempt to wipe whatsoever or literally crapped in his pants!!!! I was kind of glad Scott didn't get picked, he wasn't exactly my favorite Big Brother "star". I did think that it may have been more interesting if the tell all former American Idol ended up in the house, but who really knows, at least our ears will be spared of his icky singing. So, the girls voted Maven, or whatever his name is, into the house. Looks like Playboy girl and Alexis will be fighting for his attention and from the previews it looked as though the guy gave more attention to Alexis, after all she's more woman than the "artistic nude model" is...lol. I too think that the playboy model may get on my nerves. The whole whinning about how Florence is judging her, well who cares what the old bat thinks?!! I'm sure they don't actually run in the same circles so what affect will it truly have on her? Here she was so concerned about her image and people's perception of her yet she contantly asked the reality guys if they liked to drink and party, which didn't make much sense to me. Poor Sherman does look lost and confused and is probably asking himself what medication he was taking when he agreed to do the show. I think he is going to be the "normal" one who will be lovable and shy. I was expecting him to be more outgoing, after all it's the type of rolls he played, but I was wrong. The Smash Mouth guy seems to idolize C.C. so I expect that he will hang, act, and like everything and everyone that C.C. does, with the exception of Tawny. Most I expect out of this guy this season is enough time to put down the mop to yell and swear at Tawny, other than that I don't think he will spark much interest from me. My favorite is probably going to be Alexis. She/he seems to be fun and spunky with more than a touch of wild. Plus, the temper tantrums will keep the viewers watching, unless it becomes an every episode thing and then it will just be annoying. So, anyways was Alexis offering his penis to the playboy girl or did he just want her to get the word out that he was willing to give it to someone one last time before he got the ol' snip snap? As for Tawny well from the looks of it she will be the b!tch of the show. C.C. made the comment that the way she was acting was not her, so is she taking lessons from Omorosa and Janice and deciding to steal the show with a villian role? And what's the whole deal with Florence being the "therapist"? Is a hypnotherapist pretty much the same as a regular therapist but with something added or are her credentials limited to just hypnotizing people? If so, what gives her the right to dole out "therapist" advice? Maybe this is just a weak attempt for all the negativity about how Vh1 exploits people with problems so now not only are they exploiting it but they are also "helping".

Wow. Last night's first episode was definitely interesting. I totally called Tawni being the big wrinkly beeyotch of the house and I was right. What was her deal with ##### kissing Flo Henderson from the beginning? She is nuts. She looks like she has had some botched plastic surgery or something, her face kind of looks puffy and like a ransom note or something.C.C. and the Smash Mouth guy seem pretty cool. They will probably be the semi-normal ones. Sherman and his crazy subtitles were okay, I don't really think he will be that fun to watch, he is kind of boring. Alexis Alexis Alexis... She is going to be my absolute favorite. She had me laughing my @$$ off last night. It was so funny when she described Florence Henderson as a "live, fleshy, real woman.... WITH NEEDS. Still laughing at that, and when she made fun of Tawni's speech about why she won't be doing any dishes in the house... too funny. The playboy girl didn't really bother me yet. Her and Maven should be pretty predictable, they are both pretty and stupid and will probably hook up. Wow. I didn't see that one coming. From the scenes they showed on this season of Surreal Life, it definitely looks like a train wreck from hell, so of course I will faithfully be watching.... LOL

Alexis is the normal one.A lot of people turn to the various addictions with a cry of 'I don't know who I am or what I am, but I'm sure this will help me find out!' And then they wind up giving themselves a brand-new label, such as 'alcoholic'. Alexis knows exactly what she should be and is moving in the right direction to make that vision into reality. She's got the classic 'Take me as I am or be damned' attitude that you see in a lot of transgenders at her stage -- she's accepted herself, but the rest of the planet is a problem -- and yes, it's going to produce fights. We saw that much in the preview. At least she's got a clue as to what she's fighting for. As for the others... Andrea and Maven strike me on the same level: I knew nothing about either of them coming in and I'll give them a fair chance before sending them out. (I never really watched Tough Enough -- maybe five minutes in the second season -- and I don't get Playboy TV.) Florence is already starting to annoy me: the 'posing is bad' attitude is her attempt to bring her generation's supress-onto-death beliefs into the house, and gawds help us all if she tries to bring Brady values into this crew. Death before pre-molded therapy, thank you: Alexis nailed that one. Nude modeling is a way to make a living. So is coasting off a series that was stale the day it came out of the box. Deal with it, Florence, and then shut up. Steve and C.C. strike me as VH1's desperate attempt to get another Jeff Conway on their bloodstained hands. Like it or not, they're essentially casting for nervous breakdowns. Their ideal is for someone to lose their mind -- actually, the ideal would be a very large plural -- and then, as people have already observed, it's time for 'I've never seen a train wreck!' and there go the ratings. They're casting people freshly out of rehab in the hopes of sending them back in. Whee. Beyond that, they have the squeaky-clean just-scrubbed-my-act aura of the newly processed. Let's see if it holds up. Tawny -- no idea. The 'I'll never do dishes again!' is not a good sign, and did anyone notice this makes two domestic battery charges in two seasons? Someone who made a living off her sexuality is being a little too fast to judge a younger (and possibly more successful) version of herself. Hypocracy abounds -- and nude-dives into the pool later. But how do we get there from here? I'm not sure Sherman knows where he is or what he's gotten himself into. We'll see. And to answer your question: no, I don't know Alexis, I'm not friends with her, we've never met or spoken unless she's under some Internet name that I've run into without knowing, but I would have a conversation with her over dinner. She's lived in the heart of Hollywood: bet she's got some good stories...

I would totally hang with Alexis, but maybe not 24/7. Andrea and Maven are just about the least famous people ever on this show. I had never heard of either of them. I wish neither of them were on the show. Damm VH1 for not just putting Corey Clark in da hizzouse! C.C. is always great! Is Tawny just trying to imitate Janice? Cause she's no Janice! Sherman seems to be stepping into the boring shoes vacated by Erik Estrada, Dave Coulier et.al. Steve sure seems cranky for someone who must (as noted by Ginger) still have some decent royalties rolling in. He's barely even a has-been. Maybe it's the sober life that's pizzing him off.

LAST EDITED ON 03-21-06 AT 08:21 AM (EST)I have a feeling this season is going to be hit or miss. I like that I know "of" most of the guests (obviously I know none personally). The only ones I have no idea of are the Playboy girl & Wrestling guy. Sherman - So far the walking dead. Florence says he's really shy? Why is he on the show of freaks, then? Hopefully he'll break out & surprise us. Tawni - Kudos to her for not posing nude in Playboy, but give it a rest already & get off your high horse. She surprised me by her obvious non-acceptance of Alexis when she first walked into the house. Tawni spent her "career" objectifying her body, whether or not she took off "all" her clothes, so she isn't much better than Playboy girl. Also, Tawni rolled with the rock-n-roll crowd, high on who knows what drugs. Of all these people, she is the biggest hypocrite if she chooses to tear other people down. Lastly, her "I was born a poor black child" speech was pathetic. I can't stand people who think they've had it so bad. Grow up, your life could've been much, much worse. Tawni should've been in the house with Omarosa, these two delusional divas from the "hood" would tear each other apart. C.C. - I like him already. Like his attitude, he's newly, newly sober & he looks much better for his sobriety. He's really going to test his sobriety by going straight from rehab into the nut house. Good luck to him. Steve - I'm with the rest of you -- why is he here?? Did he spend all his money on drugs before going into rehab? Doesn't make sense. I hope I don't dislike him before the show is over, because right now he's the cranky old man who wants to be alone. Hopefully, C.C. will get him to loosen up. Alexis - No, don't know her personally. Yes, she seems like she would be the most fun to go out with. She is going to make the show worth watching this season. I'm guessing the hormones are going to make her go into her fits of rage. Playboy Girl - Don't know her. She's a little annoying in all her self-centeredness, but that's what this show is all about. She needs to hit the gym, because I wouldn't want to look at her naked (natural or not) flabbiness. I would look better in Playboy. Maven - Don't know him, either. Seems like an okay guy, but I have no idea how he'd mix things up in the house. Other Reality "Hunks" (I use the word VERY loosely) -- Corey Clark -- I only know him from when he came out with the Paula nonsense (didn't start watching AI until after he was out). Didn't care either way whether he was in the house. Guy-With-Shat-Stain -- Have no idea who he was either, but as soon as I saw his backside, he would've been out of there, cute or no cute. Although, maybe he would take the place of Mini Me with the misuse of bathroom privileges in the house. John from Survivor -- He was a major tool on Survivor & I couldn't stand him. What the heck was with the stupid wig? Since he was the only one I really knew of, I wish he would've made it into the house to get trashed by the has-been celebs. Other guy -- Didn't know him. Well, I never have any intention on watching this show, but since VH-1 replays it constantly, it is the easiest show to watch on a "nothing else on" night. So, I'll be tuning in. Kind Creation of ARNutz

Ok, this girl gets on my nerves. One minute she's all about her career choice and how she loves what she does and everyone else can just deal with it...then the next thing we see is her bristling up at every word (none I've heard have been derogatory yet IMO) any of the ladies on the show have to say. Hello....its Mrs. Brady....did ya think she was gonna offer to pose with you on your next shoot? It just seems to me that this *child* is looking for validation from all the females when, if she's so confident in her career choice, she shouldn't need. Also, I did find it tacky that Tawny had to tell Flo just how many times she was asked to be in Playboy and said no. Do we care? Does Flo care? I think not. Then I see in the previews that she's skinny dipping in front of all the cameras. Hello Pot, meet Kettle. *boggle*

Quote Estee - 'Alexis is the normal one'.I am dumbfounded. Alexis is a man who thinks he is a women. Ah.....Tawney....doesn't like to do dishes. But Alexis is the normal one. Well... put it this way. Of the people in the Estate, Alexis may be the only one who knows just who she is. That's a hard thing to do in life -- but it makes her normal to herself, and probably better-grounded than most of the others. There's a lot of identity-searching going on in there. Your reactions to Alexis' actions are part of why she's there: to bring out shock value. Shock value=ratings. What will Alexis do next? Stay tuned! But hide your eyes! And don't you remember? Scott's insane.

I'm about as confused as you are about why Alexis wants to use his male part, I figured since he was snipping it off he didn't care to use it, but maybe it was for shock value, after all if you don't have any then VH1 isn't going to give ya much air time. That's the only explanation I got I guess only Alexis really knows, well maybe he does.

In response to eirie_heart74, I agree, I wish that Alexis handled the situation differently. From what Alexis was saying he's quite used to getting stares and laughs but having people get loud and make cracks at him for all to hear definately pushed him over the edge. I think it would have been more of a victory to not show that they got the better of him, after all it was what they were looking for. I'm sure the camaras being there didn't help the situation, in fact, it probably wouldn't have escalated like it did if they weren't present. I was also appalled at the fact that Flo didn't help Alexis through the ordeal. Yes, the yelling was getting rather agressive but she is supposed to be the cast therapist and if that wasn't a good opportunity to counsel someone through a rough situation I don't know what is. Simply telling Alexis to let it go wasn't all that she could have done or said for him, at least not all that a therapist could have done.

Last weeks episode where Flo made Tawny looks stupid on TV was crazy. I thought Flo was pretty rude for doing that. It was so awkward to watch Tawny try to talk her way thru that one on live TV. CC and Andrea did really well, it was fun to watch them freak out about it then nail it. Tawny did okay except for Flo's "curve ball" as Tawny calls it. Alexis was also kind of rude to Tawny, she snapped at her to "next time don't hold the script up in camera view". Okay it is not like any of the houseguests are going to be doing this again, so what is their deal with taking it so seriously??? Blows my mind. I am hating Tawny a lot less than I thought I would. She definitely is not the sharpest knife in the drawer and obviously has some issues to work on... But, she is alright. No one in the house really bugs me, yet. It will be interesting to see what Tawny does to Flo to get her back. Also, in this last episode what is with playboy girl whipping out the fun bags at the bar? I mean come on. For some reason that really kind of got on my nerves, i mean they were in a crowded public bar, not even a bar, a sports bar for hell sakes. I think she should save that for playboy tv or at home for her housemates, LOL...

LOL, I have no idea why the girl felt the need to show her oobies to a few drunk men and I don't think she has a good reason for why she did it either. From what Alexis said she was drunk and it was time to cut her off and bring her home, so I'm guessing she's one of those type of drunks who expose themselves.

LAST EDITED ON 04-18-06 AT 11:56 AM (EST)Now see, I like Flo. She'll always be Mrs. Brady to me. And it's what the studio audience thinks that matters. For Tawny to attack Mrs. Brady, that is not gonna fly! I thought it was funny when Flo put Tawny on the offensive on the newscast. Flo was the only one who sounded professional and could have pulled off the co-anchor spot. When you are live on the news, you have to be able to improvise WITHOUT a script! Flo just tried to shake Tawny, who was very shakeable. I mean, Sherman completely screwed up the weather but he laughed at himself, it was funny! Tawny could have turned that around had she not had a bug up her behind with Flo from the Video incident! I hope Flo hands Tawny her hat. Tawny is a mega-beaotch and her 15 mins of fame was up years ago. P.S. With regards to Alexis, yes, you would think that she/he would be used to that by now. I mean, not that it's right, but these kinds of things do tend to happen, especially in a crowded club with lots of drunk people. Years ago while at a bar I remember the local Transgender walking in and it wasn't a big deal to most of us as we all pretty much knew him/her but there were several people who snickered and pointed. He/she just ignored them and had fun. I liked Alexis at first but the attitude needs to go. You can't change the world so you just have to be happy with yourself and not let others get to you.

Last week's show was weird. I take back what I said on liking Tawny. I cannot stand her, she is a freaking live wire, she is nuts. I think the types of questions she was asking Flo were very disrespectful and awkward. The whole way she was talking to Flo was so weird and rude. So Tawny, Flo threw you a curve ball, and that was kind of uncalled for. She could have confronted Flo and talked it out, Flo is a talker and it would have worked. I don't think what Flo did to Tawny during that newscast merits what Tawny is planning on doing to Flo. I think Tawny needs to realize she is coming off as crazy, and that Flo is old enough to be her mother and deserves a little more respect... just my opinion.

Did she snort coke in the bathroom? She was acting all wierd than disappeared for a while.....I think she said she was going to the bathrrom than she comes out complaining about her nose burning. I read in a gossip magazine that after the filming of this show she checked into a drug rehab place. I bet she did a little snorting.....did others get that impression too?

You know I actually thought of that myself. It did seem a bit weird that she was away from everyone and came back with that problem, but I don't know much about Tawny so I didn't know if it was rumored that she has that problem now or in the past. I simply gave her the benefit of the doubt that it was nothing but a way to get attention and for people to be distracted by something else other than the fact that she was a total b!tch.

Well, I finally got to watch last Sunday's episode so I guess I will start the convo on it.Wow, there was definately a lot of tempers flaring or should I say tentra tamprens? After all that's what Tawny called it. I can now see why this lady had to make a career based on her looks because she can't talk! First Alexis was upset because Tawny put him on drums and asked if she could wear his wig. Alexis didn't want to be on drums but wanted to lead sing and she felt it was rude for Tawny to ask to wear something that is a part of her, like she wasn't validating who she is. But after Alexis threw the drums around and tore some stuff up and ran outside to rant to Maven (who seems to be doing Flo's job alot more than Flo) Tawny caved in and gave Alexis the lead singer role and Alexis allowed her to wear his wig as leverage. So, I guess the symbolizim of the wig was not that important after all? Then after having to tell Tawny about a million times that there was no need to get someone to play the keyboard, because there was no keyboard in the song, Steve short circuted on Tawny (can't say I blame him). Seriously, Tawny really knows how to crawl under a person's skin. She runs around acting like she's great and can do no wrong and she ends up having no clue as to what is going on or needs to be done. I think Tawny needs to learn that spreading her legs on a car, being married to a rocker, and listening to the radio all day does not qualify her as a "music girl". Of course the ever so lovely Flo (note sarcasm when I type this) happens to roll on in after all the drama is concluded. Alexis has her way and Steve apologizes so there is nothing left for Flo to do besides announce the Surreal Life Band and give judging looks to Andrea. Honestly, when is this lady going to do her job. From what was shown on next week's show she apparently gets the cast together, shows them clips of themselves, and tells them what she thinks is wrong with them. This is basically the job of Sally Jesse Rapheal so what sets Flo apart from a talk show host? Why hasn't she pulled people aside and talked to them one on one in a comfortable and non-judging setting, isn't that the true way of a therapist? And if Flo goes harder on Andrea than crazy Tawny, well that just goes to show she has more than a few marbles missing in her head as well. So, if there was an award to be given it would have to go to Maven. He is the one who is there for those in the house. Letting them get whatever they need off their chest without making them feel like crap about it.

Isn't Flo a 'hypnotist shrink'? I haven't seen one of them put 'under' and God knows Tawni desperately needs it! That chick is CERTIFIABLE....I like Alexis 90% of the time...the 10% hissy violent fit Alexis I can live without..or as Steve said 'her MAN face came out'...LOLOL I do hope she sees how silly that all is and goes back to being the incredibly funny, larger than life chick she really is. I love Cece...I find him endearing. I hope he gets a self confidence boost out of all of this so he can really enjoy his life. Steve and Maven are both pretty regular guys....if Steve wasn't a 'former', I'd love to have a beer with him...Maven, well I just wanna look at him... Andrea is annoying, but I do think she'd make a great VJ Sherman! Too freekin funny...let that poor man take a nap! am I missing anyone? anywho...I find it all great silly fun....

Ugh, I agree Sally Jesse was annoying. Flo kind of kept the idea and put some fluff on it.

I agree with all of you on Flo & Sally Jesse. I really wish Flo would've done more with Tawny, either Tawny is doing drugs or is seriously mentally unstable. Flow showed a clip of Maven popping pills and Maven has been basically a non-entity this whole season. Why didn't they show Tawny how wacked she's been?I totally agree with Flo's take on Andrea, but I think Flo didn't stress the right things. The whole thing Andrea needs to get through that thick skull of hers is that it's not so much that she chooses to take her clothes off, but the fact that Andrea is so defensive that people only focus on that part of her so-called career needed to be drilled into Andrea. It's Andrea's fault that people only see her as a bimbo & "whore." Andrea can only blame herself, because she is the one who chooses to flash people, pose for Playboy, make "soft-core" vidoes. There are many movie stars who have posed for Playboy and aren't thought of as bimbos & whores, because the "nudity" was a very small part of their whole life and career. Andrea's life and career is based on her nudity -- take all that away & nobody would even know who she is. Suck it up, Andrea. If you can't take the heat, then put your clothes back on. This season has really been rather boring, IMO. I must say that I really admire and like CC, though. He really has done a great job staying sober while living with some lunatics and being put under pressure in this show. I hope he continues with his sobriety. Kind Creation of ARNutz

Hmmm. The last episode with Dr. Flo was pretty interesting. I would totally be Andrea's friend in real life. I like her personality and think she would be great as a reporter or VJ or something. However, I disagree with the whole whipping out the funbags at the bar and showing them off, and getting naked practically when ANYONE asks her to, then getting mad when people think she is a skank.... Sorry, if she wants people take her seriously then maybe she needs to stop introducing herself with her vagina....Tawni, I am just at a loss for words. Every episode she gets more and more weird and creepy. I just don't get it. She has to be doin blow in the bathroom, that would at least explain some of her behavior... And, hooray next episode it looks like she wips out the boobies too, hackeysack anyone???? CC and Steve, and hell even Sherman have been pretty low key and cool this season. You would have to with all the others living with you. I really like C.C. and Steve. C.C. has a great personality. I think Steve showed a lot of vulnerability when he talked about the death of his young son, my heart goes out to him and hope he can talk to someone about it. Alexis is in a boat by herself. I like her but, I definitely think she has issues that are far far far beyond the realm of this show, especially anger issues. I hope she gets help for that before she kills someone (not kidding). I also hope her surgery and stuff goes smoothly as well... This season has been so boring, its been sobering. I hope next season the show isn't as freaking awkward as this one was. I guess some episodes were pretty funny in parts but, for the most part I just want the majority of this season's castmates to get the help they need....
