I really thought I'd come here and there would be hundreds, well at least a few, comments about that whole fiasco between Hoff and his fellow commrades in arms! I mean, his momma was so proud of her son, how he'd groomed himself since he was just a little baby to be 'Man Shakira', and all. And how Hoff just walked off the panel and threw in his hat over the fact that his commrades voted and astounding YES for 'Man Shakira', but had turned down so many other clean, all-American acts. Wow, this show really is lying in wait for the garbage truck! My garbage pick-up is on Wednesday, and I'd lay wagers to say that this year's winner?? Did you look at any of the other videos? I only had time for one more, but it seems clear that Piers' character is very different from the one on the American version of this show. Simon is the bad guy in Britain. Amanda is the nice one and Piers seems to be happy and smiling and enjoying himself. Maybe that's why he seems so wooden on the U.S. show: he's not being himself. Well, I guess having man-boobs puts him one step closer. Just like with Leonid, its all about ratings.
