"Did Maggie really throw the competition?"
Everyone seems to be speculating that Maggie threw the HOH competition two weeks ago to Ivette. However, I'm not so sure. I mean, to truly throw the competition, shouldn't she have put down something like "1,000,000". I used to watch "Price Is Right" and many people would guess "1" is they felt people would guess too high.

Is a small point, but I'm just throwing it out there. It might make a difference in the end depending on who's in the final two (charity, hurt feelings, manipulating, etc..)

Ummm, writing down 1,000,000 would have made it obvious that she was trying to throw the competition. Haggie wanted to throw it without being too obvious that she was throwing it. She already knew that she she wouldn't be put up for eviction or be voted out that week once it was down to Haggie and Yellvette. Since Haggie never does anything in that house, especially none of the dirty work, it was so much easier for her to just take the gamble and expect that Yellvette wouldn't overshoot the correct answer. That way, Haggie kept her hands clean while Yellvette had to nominate two potential jury members.

I agree I agree. It was quite clear that Maggie threw the HOH competition and she even mentioned in the diaryroom that she really wanted Ivette to get it over her. I agree that Maggie throwing the competition was strategical as Maggie likes to keep her "image" in the house somewhat "clean" as she wants people from both sides of the house to vote for her to win. Maggie has had absolutely no reason to win HOH for a long while because she has such security within her alliance and would rather the fingers be pointed at everyone else then to be recognized for the vicious player she is.

IMHO, you are just smarter than she. She just thought she was throwing it; not realizing it could backfire.

I believe she did throw the competition.............she has skated through this game letting others do her dirty work.....if she had won, she would ahve had to evict one of her *friends*......this way she comes out looking*clean*.....

Of course Maggie threw the competition! Like the number 1 could ever be close to the right answer? She needed to assure Ivette's vote before and after she got to the final 2, if she makes it there. However, Ivette will vote for Janelle in order to make it to the final 2 if she wins HOH, which I doubt she will, No matter how anyone feels about Maggie in these blogs, she played a darn good strategic game, sheep and all!

If Ivette had written the number "2" she would have won, and there's no way 35 would be too high.
