HobbsofMI 15090 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Playboy Centerfold" 09-14-10, 10:09 PM (EST) "FF Trade" Ok....at the last minute I got into a FF league sponsored by the local sport station here. It was suppose to be 12 teams but only 3 guys (including me) showed. So the one air guys jumped in so there are 6 teams but there are 3 prize packs. LCD TV is the No. 1 prize. So each team is stacked but they sprung a few rules on us: 6 transactions max, 1 pt for 25 yd rush/rec, 1 pt for 50 yd pass, 6 for all TD's. They messed up the flex position and I also misunderstood them so you have QB, RB, RB, WR/TE, WR/TE, WR/TE, K, D but I drafted a ton of RB's because I thought one of the flex was RB/WR/TE (at first there were 3 of these). So it's a TD league. 150 yds = TD...ouch or 300 yds passing. I'm trying to get Brady but he wants MJD He's first offer was Brady/J. Best for MJD/Schab I countered Brady/Colston for Ryan/Bradshaw and H. Ward He countered Brady/Harrison/Driver for Ryan/MJD/Ward Rosters (14 spots) His: Peyton Manning(Ind - QB) RB --empty-- (Ryan Grant out for the year) Adrian Peterson(Min - RB) Randy Moss(NE - WR) Dallas Clark(Ind - TE) Marques Colston(NO - WR) Jahvid Best(Det - RB) Tom Brady(NE - QB) Jerome Harrison(Cle - RB) Tony Gonzalez(Atl - TE) Donald Driver (GB - WR) Balt and GB Def Mine: Schab Matt Ryan MJD S. And whoah, again! Here's where the scoring system counts in a big way. My read on TD scores: Brady +, Harrison =, Driver =/+ vs Ryan -/=, MJD + and Ward =/+. Ryan will get the yards, but no comp in the TD's vs Brady. MJD is a big give in return, but Driver comes closer than Harrison. Swap TE's and I'd take it. "RE: FF Trade" LAST EDITED ON 09-29-10 AT 01:33 AM (EST) With all the back and forth trade offers, it looks like he's most interested in Ryan/MJD. I'm kind of surprised he wants MJD so badly, because the Jags are having a bad season and MJD is way under-performing without a whole lot of upside. Witten is nice, but Clark is clearly an upgrade for you (Yahoo season proj 175 vs 116 or about +3 FFP/wk), so I'd go for him. He's got Gonzo already (Yahoo proj 147), so losing Clark isn't a huge loss for the other guy. I ran a trade analyzer for a Ryan/MJD Brady/Clark trade and it strongly favors the player getting MJD (although I think MJD is rated too high). So, I found a good package that comes out as 'a very fair trade' in the trade analyzer. This is a good baseline to negotiate from and gets you Brady and Clark: Brady/Clark/Best for Ryan/MJD/Greene. I'm not sure about Best's injury condition, but he's got more upside than Greene, who is having his touches reduced by LT. Go for this trade. It's fair and it gets both of you what you want (Ryan/MJD for Brady/Clark), and the Best/Greene part of it provides the fairness balance and even gives you a bit of a boost on the RB side of it. Good luck. You know what he wants now, so try to package a deal he'll take. If possible, I'd try to get Clark along with Brady. Collie because it does look like LT will be the main guy. Best injury is a Grade 2 turf toe or he ripped a bit of his tendon/ligament in his toe so it might be a while and even if he comes back K. Smith will be in the mix and thus RB by Committee time. Edit: He just dropped Harrison for McFadden.
