"The Biggest Loser Episode 8 Summary: Makeovers, Photoshoots and Family Visits Oh My!"
Previously on The Biggest Loser everyone lost lots of weight, the teams were dissolved and there are now 4 sets of two competing as couples. Get it? Got it! Good! Now let’s move on.

The show starts with Jeff talking to Jillian about making the most of his time with her. Jillian thought Jeff may be feeling down because Pete was sent home. Jeff tells Jillian that he worked out for an hour last night after the eviction and that he got up early to get his workouts started.

Bob (my new husband) gets everyone in the pool for a hard workout. The women knew what was in store but it caught the men off guard. The men are not used to the way BMH (Bob, my husband) works out and they have a tough time adjusting.

Temptation

Everyone is sent to the gazebo where a huge liquid cake awaits. No one wants to feel around in the cake to find their temptation. Finally, Matt reaches in and finds a card that informs they will be going to Beverly Hills for a makeover.

Matt: “I haven’t had a hair cut in a year and a half.” (No sh!t Sherlock! I think you need a new look to go with the weight loss.)

Seth: “I don’t need a makeover.” (Just wait until he sees himself when it is over. I bet he would take back those words.)

But, at this point I have no idea what the temptation is? Are they tempted by the shampoo? Color me confused.

Makeovers

Everyone is excited about their makeovers except Matt. Matt tells the hair stylist that he likes his hair and the stylist says he will leave the length but will add layer to his hair. Matt says, “I don’t want a mullet!” At this point I think Matt is very deserving of a mullet with the way he acts sometimes. He has no social skills whatsoever!

Everyone looks nice and all the ladies have very pretty styles. However, I think Seth has the best makeover as they put highlights in a shorter cut. I like it!

Photoshoot

After the makeovers everyone is taken to a photographer where they find out that photos will be taken and the best one will be featured in a future edition of Prevention magazine.

Shannon has a confessional and tells us that she is hoping for a couple good money shots to get the magazine cover. Um, when did this change from being a network show to a porn flick?

Everyone enjoys the photo shoot except Matt. Matt could care less and would rather be back at the mansion working out. However, he comes around and says that his hair is part of the old Matt and he now wishes he would participated in the makeover more and gotten a new hair cut.

All three women will be featured in Prevention magazine.

The Challenge: Family Reunion

The Diet Riet Zero elimination pass (GAWD, why do I fell like I am watching The Gauntlet on MTV?) is up for grabs during a bicycle race. Each person will have a bike with a little buggy where one of his or her family members will be riding. Those competing:

Andrea and her husband
Jeff and his daughter
Matt and his father
Mark and his wife
Seth and his wife
Shannon and her daughter
Suzy and her sister

The weights of the buggies have been adjusted so that each person will be pulling his or her own weight. The winning team wins immunity and an evening with their family member.

The race was between Matt and Seth from the beginning. Jeff and Shannon don’t move their bikes more than 20 feet and they pretty much give up. Seth wins by a bike length over Matt. Seth and Suzy have immunity AGAIN!

Seth and Suzy decide to cook for their guests to show them what they have learned about eating healthy. BMH and Jillian show up to meet family members. All kidding aside, I think Bob is a very down-to-Earth and sensitive type guy, as he acts very genuine. Bob seems to take time to get to know them and tries to be their friends.

The Weigh-in

Since Seth and Suzy have immunity they are first up:

Suzy
Previous weight: 182
New weight: 180
Weight loss: 2

Seth
Previous weight: 233
New weight: 232
Weight loss: 1

Andrea
Previous weight: 185
New weight: 184
Weight loss: 1

Mark
Previous weight: 273
New weight: 271
Weight loss: 2

Andrea and Mark percentage weight loss: 0.66%

Shannon
Previous weight: 212
New weight: 208
Weight loss: 4

Matt
Previous weight: 262
New weight: 254
Weight loss: 8

Shannon and Matt percentage weight loss: 2.53%

Jeff
Previous weight: 294
New weight: 284
Weight loss: 10

Jeff percentage weight loss: 3.40%

So, Mark or Andrea will be going home.

Eviction

Jeff votes Andrea
Suzy/Seth vote Mark
Matt/Shannon vote Mark

Mark goes home to find a touching letter written my Matt and brings him to tears as he reads it. We see that Mark has lost a total of 130 pounds and still going! He looks great in his uniform and I wish him the best.

Excellent summary! I too was curious as to what the temptation was when they found out about their makeovers.

Great summary Vols! Except for the part about Bob being your husband, because I think he should be mine.

BWAHAHAHA!

This is exactly what I was thinking. I wonder if she was embarrassed by her statement when she watched the show the other night.

Great job, as usual. I'm a little embarrassed that you posted you Epi. 8 summary before I posted my Epi. 7 summary, though!
