Some of the materials might be considered spoilerish, so I'll leave space just in case..."Desperate Housewives" is all over TV Guide in the December 12-18 issue:
* Page 8 has a letter noting that the Wisteria Lane set is the same one used for "The Munsters" and the "Leave it to Beaver" movie.
* From the Cheers & Jeers section (page 20):
"JEERS to Desperate Housewives for excising a sex scene between Nicolette Sheridan and private kcid Richard Roundtree. The show's exec producer claimed he wasn't reacting to Sheridan's Monday Night Football towel-dropping controversy, but we don't think there's any excuse for giving a pop-culture icon like Roundtree the Shaft."
That would have been fun to see, doubly so after MNF. But alas...
* Starting on page 48 is Peter McQuaid's "How to look 'Desperate' for the Holidays", featuring a page of sample outfits for each of our favorites (Edie wasn't invited). It surprised me to note that Gabi's outfit was less expensive than Susan's and about the same as Lynette's. Bree's checked out as least expensive - mostly from J. Crew and Banana Republic.
* The classic capsulized description is on page 72, and a profile box is on page 80. You can probably find both of those online if you like, so I won't repeat them here. I'll just note that the big news is that Zach talks to Julie about Dana.
