Episode 2.19: Don't Look at Me
Airdate: April 16, 2006

- Former Twin Peaks G-man Kyle MacLachlan — most recently the star of ABC's now-adjourned legal drama In Justice — is joining the cast of Desperate Housewives on April 16 for a multiepisode arc. "He’s a lovelorn, single dentist who is trying to make a connection with Susan," says executive producer Tom Spezialy. "She’s already entangled with her ex-husband and Mike, so he’s very much the fourth wheel in this situation." MacLachlan will appear in a handful of episodes and it’s possible he could return in the fall. "It depends how he plays," says Spezialy. "I would think he would fit in nicely in our world." - Carlos and Gaby get temporary custody of baby Lily, Bree's father and stepmother come to town to mediate between Andrew and her, and Susan suddenly finds Karl back in her life. Source: ABC

- Carol Burnett soon will be reporting to Desperate Housewives' Wisteria Lane as Eleanor Mason, the cold stepmother of Bree Van De Kamp (Marcia Cross). <...> "Eleanor took over after Bree's mother was killed when Bree was a child," Cherry says. "She's a very tightly wound, proper lady for whom appearances mean everything. A lot of what Bree has become came from this woman," and their relationship is "polite but strained." <...> Eleanor comes to town with her husband, Henry, after Bree's son, Andrew, announces his intentions to be emancipated. "Andrew is bringing up all sorts of family secrets, and they want it stopped," Cherry says. So far, Burnett is scheduled to appear in only one episode, but all parties are open to a return visit next season. Source: USA Today

- One of the yards in Wisteria Lane is sprayed for weeds, but the neighbors don't agree with the chemicals being used. One of the guys is trying to contract a band for some party. Airdate: May 2006

- One of the housewives has an argument with a quick mart clerk when there isn't her type of ice cream in the freezer and the clerk doesn't want to check if there is some in stock. It seems that getting that particular flavour of ice cream is critical to the housewife. One of the men goes to a fertility clinic. Source: SpoilerFix.com

Episode 2.2?: Title Unknown (2-hour Season Finale)
Airdate: May 21, 2006 from 9 to 11 p.m.

- The two-hour season finale, says Cherry, "will be a mixture of current stories and flashbacks on how all the women came to Wisteria Lane." Dead characters will return. The show also will be giving Alfre Woodard and Mehcad Brooks' characters "a big finale" — allowing next season's mystery to focus on one of the four housewives, who "will end up in a serious relationship with a man who has some pretty dark secrets," Cherry hints. Source: USA Today

- There will be a two-hour finale that will resolve two mysteries: The Applewhites and Zach, whether or not he is definitely Mike's son. Even though he wants him to be his son, it's not going to turn his life around. Zach can choose to stay with Paul. Source: Sun-Sentinel

- Strong revealed that she will be seen once again in Housewives' in May. She will appear in the two-hour season finale, which will flash back to when each of the women moved to Wisteria Lane. Source: USA Today

- There's some father-and-son nastiness brewing between Paul and Zach that'll send Mike into a tizzy. "Mike spends the rest of the season tying up loose ends with Zach," James Denton confirmed to me at the Golden Globes. As a result, Susan and Mike's stalled romance will remain just that, although Denton says, "It feels like one of those things where the ultimate goal is to work those two back to each other."
