We need to muster up some of that good old Power of OT for two of our own. As some of you are aware, Zuma (also known as Mr. Buggy) was hospitalized over the weekend after suffering a major stroke. He is currently unconscious, and the outlook is uncertain at this time. There has been little change in his condition over the past few days.Zuma needs your thoughts and prayers for him and for the doctors who are caring for him. Buggy needs all of the prayers and thoughts and virtual hugs and anything else you have to offer her family at this difficult and scary time. OT's biggest cheerleader and kindest soul needs some extra love sent her way.
If there are any updates, they'll be shared.

Thanks everyone for all the Love and Prayers and good thoughts.Steve is in a Neuro ICU. The bleed was massive. Not sure what recovery or improvement we can hope for, but will know more after meeting with the Doctor.
Steve's condition is stable, but he is unresponsive at this point. ( He was able to open his eyes on Monday and squeeze my hand, but hasn't since) If any of you has high blood pressure, please take your medications and see your Doctor. I appreciate the Love! HUGS!

Oh my. that is very sad.  I am truly hoping for some window of consciousness that will let Buggy and Zuma exchange a few meaningful hand squeezes or something. Three weeks ago, my father died suddenly from a massive heart attack. I had spoken to him the day before and had invited him to come the next day (the day he died) to see the progress on the addition that we are building. While he was on medication for high cholesterol, he was otherwise in good health. The shock and suddenness of it still makes me shake my head. While it is easier for the one passing (the coroner said he didn't suffer) than to hang a lot drawn out illness, it makes it harder for the rest of us. You always have a number of things that you say you'll discuss 'next time' or 'soon' and when 'soon' is taken away suddenly... well, it just adds to the general suckiness of the situation. Well, all this to say that I hope you do still have some moments where you can talk about all those things you thought you could discuss 'soon' and that there is time for all his loved ones to come and see him one last time.

Buggy, you were the first person to welcome me personally to the forum (yes, I still remember my first time in the chat room when we whispered to each other and you told me that some of you discussed whether I was a banned poster returning but that you had concluded I was not) and so you will always hold a special place in my thoughts. I have lost two close relatives to sudden deaths and have seen the effect that had on their wives. You, Katie and your family have my deepest sympathies. Please know, in the coming days and weeks and months, when you feel alone, that you are not alone and that here and elsewhere you have friends and family who love you, support you and are there to help you with anything. When my father died, my children made me a lovely (if a little unusual) little picture of a grave site and flowers. There is a circle above with the words (I've corrected the spelling mistakes): "We all don't like that grandpa is dead but he is alive in our hearts." And they wrote their names. Remember Steve as he lived and he, too, will remain alive in your hearts.

Oh, Jesus, Buggy, I am so sorry. I want nothing more than to wrap my arms around you and envelop you in love and warmth. Instead, I send virtual hugs, and very real prayers for you to find peace. I also send the very real offer to feel free to contact me if you need an ear and a shoulder that has walked, in some way, this path before. With school and no regular TV I'm not around here much, but you are all very much in my mind as I go through my days, and I truly give you credit that I am here, at all.
