Reality TV World Message Board Forums
PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats, but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are encouraged to read the complete guidelines. As entertainment critic Roger Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

1. "RE: The Casual Vacancy."
The Casual Vacancy is J.K. Rowling’s first novel for adults.

I could be tempted although I would suspect He Who Should Not Be Named is the bad guy.

Between popularity discounts and the recent accusations of Ebook price fixing (not Amazon: publishers), I'm expecting that to drop somewhat before release.

5. "Release Week Bump."
It'll be out on Thursday. The Kindle edition price has dropped -- by a whole two dollars. Hardcover is Amazon-running at $20.90, and I'm guessing that's the bottom line after seeing Target advertise $23.00. Currently ranking at #4 overall for the site's book sales.

I have preordered, but I don't expect it to arrive until around October 5th or considerably later: it was part of a May bulk preorder with free shipping and that means gawds only know when it leaves the warehouse. At 512 pages, it'll take a few days to get through anyway if I don't go into all-out rush mode -- but I'll be behind the reading timeline for the store buyers.
