qwertypie 9721 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Playboy Centerfold" 05-13-08, 05:14 PM (EST) "HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?" Step right up and place your (virtual) bets. How long will Shayne and Matt last? Will they actually make it to the alter so we will be treated to another wedding spectacular that will even out do Trista and Ryan's Very Berry Pink nuptuals? Or will they split up before the bloom is off the (final) rose? Closest to date that one of their publicists confirms the split without going over wins. Honourable mention to one who picks the day when the rumours start circulating about one of them seen with someone else. Good Luck! "Only if ABC pays for wedding" IMHO, the wedding will only take place if ABC goes for another wedding spectacular like Trista and Ryan's wedding. Although I think Shayne is hoping for something much bigger. Shayne's comment about Matt's not looking at other women was also a red flag and he just might use that as an out. Rather, I thought she was making a clever observation of how ridiculous the whole Bachelor premise is (dating so many women at once). Shayne and Matt seemed so close (down to the "monkey" pet name) and I just read that as her having fun with that. I don't know how much we will hear about them in the future. He is a business guy in England, and I suspect they will relocate there for the most part. She will try to keep acting. They talked about being together when they saw the fantasy suite episode. Shayne got upset when Chelsea dropped her knickers so she kicked Matt out of the suite. He said he was locked out on the patio till noon the next day. They decided they had to find a way to deal with him on the show kissing the other women. So Shayne named Matt's alter ego Bob. And it was Bob that was on TV kissing the women, not Matt. Matt said he didn't see the problem but it must be the European/American thing. Ellen said that Shayne should understand since she is an actor and they do kissing scenes. But Shayne said that is acting and this was real life. Ellen asked them where they wanted to live. Matt said he loves LA and Shayne loves London. Shayne said she wanted to have 2 kids and raise one in LA and one in London. They were asked if they would have their wedding on TV. Matt didn't seem to want to do anymore reality TV. But when pushed he said they could have their kids on TV. There also arent a lot of acting opportunites for an American there..Americans would rather have a Brit than vice versa. When I saw them together on the show week after week, it was clear to me that she was the one for him. She was truly "real" and there for the right reasons. I believe in a fairytale ending, even though that fairytale has been elusive for me. The mean-ness some write in these blogs never ceases to amaze me. Those that want to be nasty remind me of Robin....who the heck did she think she was. As for Chelsea, she was the most "falsest". Don't you think it odd that she waited until the last minute to open up on the show. Who is she kidding? You go Matt and Shayne. Best wishes for your long future together. She accepted the ring because it looks good on tv and will draw attention to her wanting to become an actress. She was such a fake and he was too blind to see it. He is just in love with the idea of being with an actress. I thought he had more sense than that and could see through it, but apparently he can't. Oh yes, Girls Gone Wild, is a real good way to start an engagement. Glamour, money, and glitz is all she wants. She is too immature to even begin a real relationship and it showed all over the tv show. If I had to make bets on it, I would say it won't last just like most of the couples that get engaged from the show. When I read that he wanted to stay in LA, it became pretty clear that he wanted to do more than just 'find a wife'... Shayne's just the ticket to help him open those doors for him. But did it start out that way for him, in the beginning? Who knows.. But the agenda now is to get publicity, to get more signings, contracts, etc. I'm sure they will get married, but only for the endorsements and publicity. "Shayne & Her Newest Adventure" Is it just me, or is anyone else sitting here wondering if Matt's parents or even Matt for that matter, would have ever really approved of, or thought highly of their new Daughter-in-law-to-be participating in anything 'Girls Gone Wild'???? Trash. Absolute trash!! While of course its her choice, and 'to each their own', I cant imagine what those poor people, Matt's parents, are thinking. At first I thought Shayne was only in it to get more attention to help her career, and I thought she lacked any substinence or brains. Then, when Matt chose her, I thought, well maybe, just maybe the network didnt show us a side of Shayne that really portrayed her very well. Afterall, we only see so much of what really is said and happens. When Matt chose Shayne, I thought, wow, maybe they both really found true love and I had hoped it worked out for them. But then when I see that, so quickly after the show ends might I add, that she is already posing for a nudie magazine (and a really trashy magazine at that) I realize I should have listened to my first gut instinct. This girl was in it for the fame and chance to further her career, and nothing more. So, do I think it will last? No, I dont. Marriages built on false pretenses never last. I also noted in an interview with Matt, which has previously been posted on RWTV, some things that he said which led me to believe he was not real serious about getting married or maybe it was that he was not looking to get married very soon. Sure, they should get to know each other, but I dont see them lasting for very long even if they did get married.
