iltarion 1791 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Herbal Healing Drugs Endorser" 02-08-10, 07:50 PM (EST) "JP ranks Survivor seasons 1-19 in EW" LAST EDITED ON 02-09-10 AT 01:20 AM (EST) LAST EDITED ON 02-08-10 AT 08:12 PM (EST) In this week's issue of EW (Entertainment Weekly), JP ranked all 19 seasons. It is pretty sweet (though some of his rankings are pretty dubious, hahahaha). I was not able to find the article online, but here is a great 3 segment interview regarding the upcoming season. http://popwatch.ew.com/2010/02/08/survivor-heroes-vs-villains-jeff-probst/ Jeff's frankness regarding the selection process is really cool. I love how he calls Fairplay a quitter, calls celebrity TV BS, calls Tom Westman the greatest winner ever, and even talks about considering Brian and offering a slot to Corinne. He also talks about how there have been more memorable characters that were men, which explains why some of the more questionable women made it. He and Dalton have a pretty entertaining argument regarding Sally at the end. Apparently, I'm not the only fan of Sally's pigtails and kneesocks. "RE: JP ranks Survivor seasons 1-19 in EW" Jeff does those rankings every few years and one thing that is evident is that he rates the newer seasons higher at first to sell the corporate line that newer is better and also he rates low those seasons where the staff had problems, either with the climate or the government. Guatemala and Marquesas were miserable for the crew and look where they are. I couldn't find a link either but Beatles over at Sucks posted Jeff's rankings with some comments: http://survivorsucks.yuku.com/topic/64737?page=1 1. Vanuatu "I always liked this season more than the audience did, and that has probably influenced why it has dropped since my last ranking... The lack of huge characters and huge moments makes this one just another very good season of Survivor but nothing more" I agree...though Vanuatu started weak but ended strong, and would have loved to see Twila back as a Villain. Ami would make a good Villain, but she graduated to USOP in Fans vs. Favorites.
