"Kota 6 - interesting times"
I think the Kota 5 (the Kota 6 except Suzie) are getting what's coming to them.

Seriously when Marcus said that he's banking on the relationships he'd formed, clearly he was wrong cos he didn't get Suzie and now she has a F5 guaranteed if that alliance sticks. And the arrogance in throwing away the HII...

Marcus rolling he's eyes at TC when Charlie got voted out just shows his arrogance. Like people aren't going to figure a way to sway someone that is at the bottom of the alliance (ie. Suzie).

And Corrine thinks she's playing the game but she too appears to have no effect on people's votes with her "fake caring act".

Prior to the ep, if Kota memebers were to make the final, the only one I really liked was Charlie (and maybe Bob). But now that's gone.

I'd actually really like to see Matty and Sugar make the finals but the tight Ken-Crystal-Suzie thing may be interesting to break.

I agree with you about the emotions thing - like when Corrine and Charlie saw that Marcus had been voted out - their shock was obvious and their alliance transparent. They should have stayed composed and kept their mouths shut. Kenny was great by calling them on it "who deserved to go more?" Good for him!

People need to play their cards closer to the vest. (Are you listening Randy?) Crystal is especially bad at talking just to hear herself. I was so sad to see Marcus go, but he was getting too confident (throwing away the idol!) and not on top of his alliance. Sorry to see Charlie go too. Boy! Kenny is really running the show - who'da thunk it!!!!

So I am still hopeful for Bob - what a great thing he did making up his fake idol! Wow - so creative and it really looks like something the crew would have made up. He was so smart to take advantage of the privacy and so creative to use the resin and other natural supplies. Wow! NO ONE has ever thought to do that, with the exception of Ozzy's replacement fake idol. Really great move and it may prove very interesting in the future.

SO! I am still hopeful for Bob and Matty too - they both deserve it more than any of the rest. I actually wish Corrine and Charlie had answered Kenny's question - that might have been the most honest conversation out there!

Good topic funkyfitfreak!

Don't know that Suzie is all that tight with Ken/Crystal. Don't think I would trust her if I were either of them. And for all Suzie knows, they could have a final four agreement with Matty and Sugar.

Marcus never had the idol. All he had was one chance in ten of finding it. Assuming no agreement was made to toss it away and Randy found it, would he have given it to Marcus once he saw Marcus and Bob outnumbered on the new tribes?

Good call garcor.

I was going to make the same response before I saw your post. Marcus did come off as arrogant in his confessional but it's no different than hundreds of others before him (fresh off an Anti-Darwinism or an action purely from desparation not to be confused with inspiration) who give a confessional which makes them sound like a genius or master strategist...Laughable.

If anyone's confessional hit the nail right on the head it was Ken's. His analogy of taking the HII to biting the apple in the Garden of Eden was an excellent one. No one was going to put that target on themselves.

And your math is correct by stating Marcus only had a 1 in 10 shot of finding it...and fact of the matter is when the scavenger hunt ensued it was Randy who found the HII so ultimately it was HIS decision, not Marcus.

This nonsense of the HII at the tribal feast had nothing to do with Marcus' fate but everything to do with Production's twist to control the game for the weak and oppressed.

Yeah, I am always a little befuddled whenever the tossing of the HII is mentioned as having something to do with the downfall of Marcus. Tossing it seemed like a reasonable solution to the problem created when everyone knew of its discovery. Once everyone knew about it, thanks to Charley, the HII became an albatross around the neck of any who'd wear it. The only idiocy from Marcus was in his gloating over convincing everyone to get rid of it.
The poor play there was from Kenny and Charley, who failed to take advantage of their discovery of the clue. Kenny could have found a way to cover up the clue until he had the chance to remove it, and even better yet, Charley could have kept his knowledge to himself. Such knowledge could have been very useful either before the HII was found or afterwards Before hand, Charley could have offered to help Ken get the HII without anyone else knowing, thus forcing Ken into a Yauman-Earl type alliance. Or, he could have simply allowed Ken to find the HII and then used that knowledge against him. Suzie might have stayed with Kota and voted off Kenny if she knew he had the HII.
I agree that Kota made the now ages old mistake of allowing the #5 and #6 members of their tribe to KNOW they were #5 and #6, which led to the inevitable flip come merge. You would think these people would learn. Of course, the multiple tribal switches did make it more difficult to cement a solid 5 or 6. The Fang members on the other hand have done nothing but lose in this game and benefit from the blunders of Kota. They are no more deserving of anything based off their own merit.

Not sure if Kota could have convinced Dan or Suzie they were anything other than 5 or 6 when the core three were original Onion members. Especially if Suzie was holding out for final three; no way Marcus could have credibly (spelling?) promised that as Crystal pointed out to Suzie.

Bob's fake idol isn't the first use of a fake idol, but it's definitely the first application of the idol the way Bob did it - giving it to himself to make him appear stronger and possibly make people think one of two things:

1. Sugar doesn't have it (either Dan found it and didn't play it or Sugar never found it and Bob did,)

2. There are two idols, and Sugar and Bob both have them.

If people think Dan had it, simply put, Bob goes to Exile and finds the replacement. That's not what happened, but perception is perhaps better than reality. Besides, this is no stick with a stupid face carved into it - this actually looked pretty well-put-together.

Alternatively, the people who know Sugar has it could think that another one existed - who knows? Jaime was dumb enough to think there were three idols, and Jason actually thought his stick was an idol, so anything's possible.

Bob's strategy couldn't hurt. I think Corinne or Randy is next to go, and Bob will probably be saved for last - and that means that either his brain or his fake idol will come into play. He's got a shot.

You all have the moves down pat. Can't say much of anything else, except that I have been watching skinny little Kenny from the get go, and have seen something in him that made me feel he was the dark horse in this game. I just hope he doesn't blow it next week by getting all 'braggy' and puffed up. We all know that Olympian Crystal, who can't even climb a mountain or catch a fooze ball, does NOT like it when people get all braggy! LOL
