"A Different Detour"
Just speculating here.

Not sure of the validity of these spoilers we see all over the internet, but you do see D/K and E/G in NYC per poster, shirleyf. Then you see the witness of L/K and R/K in NYC at the Newsday Tower. You also see L/K and R/K at the base of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. You see T/J in the Eiffel Tower. You don't see E/G & D/K in Paris. You don't see D/M anywhere - assume eliminated in Madagascar. You see T/J and D/K in Finland.

Assume NEL or super leg from Finland/Ukraine.

A bunch of "WHAT-IF'S" here:

Instead of choosing two tasks at a detour in a given city, what IF the detour in Ukraine is to either A) go to Paris...T/J, R/K, & L/K or B) go to Barcelona...E/G & D/K? Are there any pictures of Barcelona yet?

What IF there is a Final 5 where 2 teams of 2 are leaving from Barcelona to NYC and 3 teams of 2 are leaving from Paris to NYC?

What IF there really is no such thing as decoys?

What IF T/J locked in one of the Final 3, and L/K and R/K are competing for one, and D/K and E/G are competing for the other one?

TAR already came up with double eliminations in the first episode, the elimination with a 30-minute penalty, the intersection....what IF there was a Super Detour that leads to a Super Road Block???

It just seems too easy to come across these pictures you get at the Eiffel Tower and then you see more than 3 teams in NYC.

Could it just be misdirection to throw everyone off?

Can the TAR producers even pull this off, if this conspiracy theory is true? It's driving me nuts.

This is an interesting concept but is it logistically feasable? They keep all the teams on the same leg throughout each series because logistically they cannot make it work if one or more teams start the next episode before they finish filming the previous episode. Phil goes on ahead, films his brief segments ahead of the racers (and granted much of Phil's presentation in every episode is post-production voice-over) and then they have him waiting at the next Pit Stop (or Superleg Clue) to greet the racers. Even if they give the racers a 36 hour Pit Stop and have Phil flying in a private jet to get all his work done on time, it seems iffy to me.

I'm not ruling it out, just asking if they (a) could make it work? and (b) would risk trying it?
