PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the

Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

"1st Elimination" |
Since the 1st elimination was so close what would have happened if both teams hit the mat at the same time? Would the producers change one of the non-elimination legs? I remember one last maybe last where 2 teams hit the mat at the same time for 1st place on a leg. Since there is always a prize for 1st Phil had the teams decide who would get the prize.

1. "RE: 1st Elimination" |
LAST EDITED ON 02-19-09 AT 03:57 AM (EST)The only time I remember two teams having to decide who gets the prize was on All-Stars, when Oswald and Danny gave it to Uchenna and Joyce. In that case, though, those teams held hands and made a point of jumping on the mat at the same time trying to share first place. During the season four premiere, Amanda/Chris, Millie/Chuck, and Steve/Josh did the same thing, jumping on the mat at the same time. In this case, I think additional first place prizes were furnished so each received one... this was probably when they decided to only hand out one prize per leg. On Season 2, Tara/Wil arrived 2nd at the penultimate pitstop, but were given a time credit for production difficulties and thus shared 1st place with Blake and Paige. In that case both teams won a prize. In a case like this last episode, where the teams were racing to avoid elimination, I am sure that if needed the film would have been reviewed to determine which team got both members on the mat first. Even with a photo finish, one team would still get there first and the team that doesn't would face the consequence of being last.
