We keep noting episode by episode who is going up in flames. So, I thought we could keep track of them in their own thread... None pre Episode 1. Francesca voted out. Episode 2 Promos: Russell: The core Ometepe alliance: Rooster: Redemption Island Arena: Outcome in Ep 2: Rooster finds the HII, Ometepe loses the challenge, Matt voted out Promos for Episode 3: Matt, his name appears on the bottom, with Francesca at RI - but, it's Francesca's face that is covered by the flames... Francesca: Matt: Rooster, Julie, David Rooster: Ep 3 Outcome: Russell voted out, Francesca out for good, Matt RI winner Promos for Ep 4: None in flames Ep 4 Outcome: Kristina voted out, Russell loses the duel, Matt RI winner Promos for Ep 5: Stephanie: David: Ep 5 Outcome: Krista voted out, Kristina loses duel, Matt RI winner Promos for Ep 6: Rob: Ep 6 Outcome: Stephanie voted out, Krista loses duel, Matt RI winner Promos for Ep 7: Rob and Phillip, note they are not going up in flames... Phillip: David and Sarita: Outcome Ep 7: Sarita voted out, Steph loses duel, Matt wins RI Promos for Ep 8: Phillip: Outcome Ep 8: Merge, Matt voted out, Sartia loses duel, Matt wins RI and back in game. Another woohoo to FP for collecting so many images. So much work! I am not seeing a clear message in the flames. While it is bad to go up in flames (normally), fire is life in Survivor. Most or all of the people shown with flames did not turn into Crispy Critters. It may be just to show drama. Like the tree frog that jumps ... while I agree that it symbolizes jumping, it has been used to raise the question of "will this person jump at some point"? It's been a question but not an accurate predictor of who jumps and flips the game. I mean Stephanie did jump but her jump was not received, incomplete jump. Matt and Andrea considered jumping, but in the end it didn't pan out.
