As you may or may not know, this is our one-stop-shop to learn everything there is to know about our upcoming Episode 3. First, if you are new to these boards, please take a look at our Community Guidelines. You will find them very helpful in navigating your way around SurvivorBlows. For a full recap of last week’s Episode 2, check out Estee’s West Coast Update Thread. A big thanks goes out to Newbie Poster Mommyof4 for recapping all that happened in last week’s episode in this thread. Just to refresh your memory, the most important things that came out of Ep. 2 were: first, we were given our first clue as to the where-abouts of the HII. Leslie received the clue from Jaime. Clue # 1- "What is thought to be hidden may sometimes be seen. Though their eyes are not, yours must be keen." and second, we were even SHOWN the HII. Here’s a close-up: It appears to be a decorative plaque that is mounted to the gable end of the small pagoda-type structure that is in each camp. Here’s an aerial view of the pagoda structure in the FeiLong camp: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Episode 3: “I Lost Two Hands and Possibly a Shoulder!” Now, onto this week’s episode entitled “I lost two hands and possibly a shoulder!” Hmmm, I wonder who would say that? It obviously has a poker reference, so I’ll guess that FeiLong’s resident Poker Player Jean-Robert might have said this after his tribe wins the Reward Challenge. More on that later. This week, SeeBS has given us a "boatload" of vidcaps to analyze. But, first things first, at the end of Ep. 2, SeeBS tells us what will happen next time on Survivor … The kidnapped castaway bonds with the kidnappers over issues of faith, and the floodgates open as that castaway reveals their own tribe's dynamics. The women on one tribe have a hard time getting shut-eye as they avoid the snuggling and smothering of a cuddly castaway. As two guys joke in private that the only reason to keep a weak female tribemate is because one has a crush on her, that woman spies on their crude conversation. To stew or roast a crab? That is the question that prompts two alpha-males to duke it out. And over at Survivor Blows, Michel brings us the Episode 3 Title “I Lost Two Hands and Possibly a Shoulder!” from TVGuide and more clues from CBS. One tribe's women are losing sleep thanks to a pesky male castaway who gets snuggly at night. And the lack of shut-eye could present a major problem when it comes to winning this week’s challenges: dueling boats and a swordfight. These clues can be solved easily with the following vidcaps: And it appears that Jean-Robert is the "snuggle bunny." Just look at the disgust on the faces of poor Leslie and Amanda! The Reward Challenge: "Dueling Boats" This week SeeBS gives us the names of both challenges. “Dueling Boats” is the Reward Challenge. Because of their size, I think Todd and Courtney will once again be the ones to sit out of the Challenges for Fei Long. Here, both tribes arrive at Challenge Beach ready for the Reward Challenge. TVGuide tells us that the two tribes are each given a boat and must defend it for a Reward of comfort items, including pillows, blankets and a tarp. The Reward Challenge appears to take place on docks out in the middle of the lake. As you can see there is a red one and a yellow one. The docks are designed to look like boats. Each tribe arrives by boat: We are shown vidcaps of the Reward Challenge here. The tribes must duke it out and push each other over the edge of the dock and into the drink. We are shown: Women v. Women: We see both Amanda and Sherea going into the drink leaving Denise & Leslie still standing for Fei Long v. Jaime & Peih Gee still standing for Zhan Hu. Given Denise's size, I'll go with a Fei Long victory for the women. Boys v. Boys: Obviously, last man standing wins the challenge. Given Jean-Robert’s and James’ size and that we see Frosti going into the drink, I am going to guess that the Fei Long men are victorious here. The Reward Challenge will be won by the FeiLong’s. It’ll be their 4th Challenge win in a row! And yes, SeeBS seems to confirm this assumption with this series of vidcaps: Looks like our resident Gravedigger James is indeed the last man standing. SeeBS also goes on to ask will James … Time.will.tell!! Meanwhile, the FeiLongs get to kidnap another survivor from Zhan Hu. Who will it be? Given this clue: The kidnapped castaway bonds with the kidnappers over issues of faith, and the floodgates open as that castaway reveals their own tribe's dynamics. ...I'll guess that the FeiLong's kidnap Sherea. They've already kidnapped Jaime and got little information from her, so why not take someone else? We've already seen Sherea in tears over at Zhan Hu several times, so I'm guessing that she will be the kidnapee and bond with our Christian Radio Talk Show Host Leslie and "the floodgates of tears and talk will pour open." Sherea will fill them in on her tribe's dynamics. I also think she will give the second HII clue to Leslie. Todd will find out about this (again) and this will not bode well for Leslie's future longevity. There is another clue that SeeBS gives us ... To stew or roast a crab? That is the question that prompts two alpha-males to duke it out. My guess is that this will take place over at Fei Long between it's two alpha males Jean-Robert and Aaron. Although, I don't know for the life of me, why James doesn't jump in on this as we all know that the Louisiana boy KNOWS how to cook a crab! Now at some point during this episode and for reasons unknown, we are shown the Zhan Hus working together at their camp … and the Fei Longs eating rice together at their camp … Meanwhile, there is other drama happening this week. Over at Zhan Hu, we are shown that Dave is losing patience with his tribe: Dave is still bonkers. He is still condescending and not patient with his tribemates and they will find him increasingly annoying! And over at Fei Long, we can answer another SeeBS clue: As two guys joke in private that the only reason to keep a weak female tribemate is because one has a crush on her, that woman spies on their crude conversation. We are shown that Todd and Courtney overhear a conversation between James and Jean-Robert at the Watering Hole … * Look at this one closely folks ... How did THAT* get in there?* Yes, Todd and Courtney hear too much. Something tells me that they will use this information to forge a bond and it will come back to haunt J-R & James in the future! The Immunity Challenge: "Sword Fight" Eventually, at some point we know the tribes will each receive tree mail that will more than likely be accompanied by a sword, a weapon or some other Chinese instrument of destruction, preparing them for the Immunity Challenge that lies ahead. Will they be told to read some part of their Manual of War in preparation for the mighty battle? Who knows. Here’s what we do know about the Immunity Challenge. It will involve a sword fight. In preparation, James will help Leslie learn how to prepare for battle… For immunity, the teams arrive dressed as “warriors” ready for battle. Here are the Fei Longs on their way to the IC. Look at Todd's skinny arm there: and here's Dave leading the Zhan Hus into the IC battle … Apparently, both teams arrive at the challenge ready for battle. Some type of "sword fight" ensues. The teams will each eventually have to use wooden Chinese coins to solve a puzzle. However, they must first use a machete to chop and cut through a wooden puzzle to release the four wooden coins that will ultimately help them solve the puzzle. Here’s what we’ve got: Who wins this challenge you ask? We can’t say for sure. However, I’ll guess that the Fei Long tribe will once again be victorious in the Immunity Challenge and send the downtrodden ZhanHus off to Tribal Council yet again. At tribal council, another castaway is voted out of the game. Who will it be? . . . . . . . . . Dave Cruser gets the Boot this week! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In other news, thanks to PepeLePew13 for bringing us a thread on Articles with Survivors. Still, I can't help but think that it's Erik who's this week's kidnapee. Here's an excerpt from Erik's bio:
Huffman is a Christian, and he believes his faith will keep him strong and focused when faced with the physical, mental and emotional hardships of Survivor: China.
He'll probably bond very well with Leslie given that background.

When you've just lost yet another challenge and got a wild-eyed leader in Dave allegedly "running" the show, I can easily see someone such as Erik having his fill of things and letting his frustrations out. All it takes is a well-placed question by someone on the kidnapping team and the floodgates open as the frustration comes out.
Sherea is a good possibility as the kidnappee, but I first pointed out on another thread a few days ago about Erik being a Christian and knowing that Leslie is open about her religious beliefs, it made a lot of sense that Erik could be the one to get kidnapped and have something in common with someone else to open up a discussion about. Is Erik emotional enough to blab all about camp life? We haven't seen enough of him, but frustration has caused a lot of mouths to be loosened in the past and it doesn't have to be a big outburst for this to happen.
Oh yes... great job with the SOTS and very, very thorough with great use of vidcaps, Scar! Thanks for pulling this together.
