I would be willing to host a Non-Spoiler PTTE, for those who would want to play spoiler-free. (Spoiler-free means never looking at a possible boot list, not reading about tribe wins, future events, or reading spoiler sites. One thread is our own SOTS(State of the Spoiling).
This would not include discussions about Survivor in the Fanatic Forum or the spoiler-free thread of VerucaSalt’s(The Players, The Game, The Editing).
I would put this in another thread, so you wouldn’t see what everyone else is doing. I would like at least 5 players.
Okay... how do you play:
There doesn't need to be any analysis, although you're welcome to throw anything in that you want... this is a game and is intended to be fun. You can use any spoiler information available to you, coupled with your own intuition, to see how well you can do.
SCORING:1)You do NOT want points... they're bad... it's like golf. Every point counts against you in the standings, so try to avoid them, unless you are playing the MEDIUM TEAL game.
2)Points will be awarded to each boot, after each episode of Survivor 15 China. They will be awarded as the difference between where you thought this week's bootee would finish and where the bootee actually finished.
3)You will be given penalty points every time you change your PTTE list.
Amount to be determined.
4)There will be several tie-breaker questions. I’m still working on those. Check back to catch them. I will also send out a PM to alert you. I used all 5 tie-breaker questions last season to determine the winner.
5)The game will be open for anyone to join at anytime. If you do not enter before the first episode, you will start with a score equivalent to 8 points per episode you missed. That means that it's possible to join the game after several episodes and enter in first place, but statistically speaking, you'll have a better chance if you enter earlier.
PRE-SEASON BONUS:
I will offer a "Stick With Your List" Bonus this season instead of the One-List Game.
Keep your list for:
1 – 3 weeks = -1 point or +1 point for teal
4 – 6 weeks = -1 points or +1 points for teal
7 – 9 weeks = -2 points or +2 points for teal
10-Final week = -2 points or +2 points for tealWeek 1 goes to the first Boot. Week 2 is 2nd boot and so on.
I will subtract (or add) points from the scores only after the 3rd, 6th, 9th, and Final week if you still have your original list.
You must keep your list for 3 weeks to receive the bonus.
I will not be giving points when you change your list only the 4 weeks listed above.
